maybe BR will bring out Coutinho and move Gerard forward. Allen will replace at Gerard position. this is after 70th minute. coutinho stamina not at peak and easy to get injured.

I reckon a ball winning midfielder that operates higher than the conventional anchor midfielder like Lucas. I really do feel he is one of the better midfielder to play the pressing game and still have the passing and dribbling ability to dominate the ball. Is it a mere coincidence that we stopped playing possession football without Allen in the team ? Gerrard may seem irreplaceable but once the other midfielders start putting on some good performance, i reckon he would have little choice but to make some changes. Having said that, Gerrard has played 2 great games for England so perhaps his form is returning. That goal against Poland shows he still got it when given the license to attack.

coutinho is not fit enough to start yet, my guess would be allen will involved in the match this week. i just hope br bold enough to sub gerrard and give him some needed rest

let coutinho fit 100% 1st then start him slowly.

Managed to get a couple of tickets for the Newcastle game. I've not been to St. James' Park before, but I can imagine going there for matches fairly often in the future as it's not too far from where I study (Durham). From what I've heard, the atmosphere is electric!
I'd imagine Rodgers is going to have a tough time relegating Gerrard to the bench after scoring that goal against Poland! Though, it might be a good move in the long-term.

Ahh... I didn't enter the stadium but I remember it was pretty huge and there is a Chinatown nearby. Good place to have decent Chinese food before the match. Enjoy!

Cardiff City veteran Craig Bellamy is critical of Wales capping 16 year-old Liverpool winger Harry Wilson.

Manager Chris Coleman confirmed that Wales had been made aware that Wilson, who was born in Wrexham, could have qualified for Roy Hodgson’s team via his grandmother, who was born in Chester.

"I’m not sure about it," the 34-year-old, who is the third most highly capped player in his country’s history, said. "I really don’t know.

"I think Harry’s a talent. I think he’s going to do well in the years to come. But I’d like to see him do well first (before being capped).

"I don’t mean that in a bad way, but 16 years old is young, it’s really young.

"He can’t play for anyone else now but is that really the most important thing? I’ve known him for some time and I’ve seen his progress. He’s great.

Arguments can be healthy but in my opinion, hoping that a Liverpool player screws up to prove a point is ludicrous. Have always preferred to debate face-to-face than over the internet. The tone of the conversation changes if you know or have met the person.

Sadly, it is pretty common for flers here to sell complimentary merchandise or tickets for personal profit. Still, I hope an investigation is carried out and the guilty culprits are weeded out.
