QUOTE(Rotuham @ Sep 21 2013, 05:39 PM) Our good friend is at it again on the official website. There's a reason why Gerrard and Suarez dont speak much these days... or even coutinho... Because BR want them to focus on pitch and let Aspas do the talking Doesn't this remind you of downing in his first season? |

QUOTE(sKyWiR3pT3lTd @ Sep 23 2013, 01:13 AM) One bad game and people are calling for Gerrard's head. That is the reason why loyalty in football is overrated. People forget what he has done for the club and want to replace him at the first obstacle. IMO today Gerrard performance wasn't up to his standards. He made mistakes and lost possession but was far from our worse player on the field. I think he is playing out of position and this type of play doesn't suit him. I don't understand why Rodgers is playing him so deep. He is more effective in attack. QUOTE(lerijiso @ Sep 23 2013, 01:17 AM) I agree. If anyone is to blame its clearly BR. Obviously, it was a tactic and formation issue. Soton owned us all over the pitch fair and square. Obviously BR has no plan B. Google "Gerrard said BR has no plan B" He just want them to improve on plan A , A , A.... God bless how we gonna win anything if a stubborn shit keep praying plan A is works miracle. |

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Sep 23 2013, 02:43 AM) Only one bad game? He performed when sitting deep for England. It's all about mentality. Everyone was lazy came 80minutes. Sturridge, Gerrard...everyone... I just pitied Mignolet...He has to make world class saves every god damn game because some shitty defending and the 2 sissy ball winning holding midfielders were day dreaming all night long.Seriously, Gerrard has been playing poor since 2010-11. To be specific, he's not been lethal since 2010-11. (Remember the year when Torres ran like headless chicken as lone striker under Sir Roy Hodgsonâ„¢? Stevie G played like headless chicken too.) ![]() He's sitting deep this season. Sitting deep is not an issue. Sitting deep and not performing is a huge issue. Must praise Mignolet though...The triple saves looked classy! |

QUOTE(koolspyda @ Sep 24 2013, 09:35 AM) well, to be on loan is a good thing for him to mature, though chances are suso will move on. never once as far as i can remember any player loaned returns to play as regular in Lfc. Was expecting Shelvey to be back and stay...Ended up he left all of a sudden no? anyone? I know there are exceptions to the rule though i don't see it happening. suso has talent but is kinda small size for premiership, it all depends on the players around him to see if it works. I doubt we will build a team around/support his talent. which is why i'll say suso is almost good as gone |

Brendan spent too much time jogging in Manchester without doing some revision on tactical issue...He should realize that we need Alberto/Aspas/Ibe to chase the score, not Martin Kelly to defend...We dont need 5 defenders in the team although it is clear that Toure was playing further upward

QUOTE(Rotuham @ Sep 26 2013, 04:59 AM) Problem is BR took this game too seriously.Should have rested main players.I think most of us anticipated loss. He should start rotating. Gerrard and Lucas should not start every god damn game. Move Hendo to center with Toure...Couldn't be any worse than Gerrard and Lucas...Put Moses and Alberto on the flanks if not Sterling/Ibe/Aspas on the wide with Sturridge and Suarez upfront. The onslaught on BR will begin if we fail to beat sunderland.People are gonna criticise him for overplaying some of our players. |

QUOTE(maranello55 @ Sep 26 2013, 05:03 AM) Funny Gerrard n Lucas was wut we think was lacking in our squad when both were injured. With Soton, we tot LS7 return wud be it. But still no. So wut is it? QUOTE(Rotuham @ Sep 26 2013, 05:13 AM) i Gerrard was playing deep which offers little creativity. Lucas was ball winning midfielder. The fact that our lineup is easy to predict, makes us vulnerable. We bought Alberto for few millions and he should be playing. These days even Hendo is playing better than Gerrard+Lucas combined. We need a change. Either move Gerrard behind the strikers or if he is sitting deep, take out Lucas.Actually I felt gerrard lucas were good for the first three games. However after woy england games gerrard looks exhausted.Today was the right opportunity to rest him but I feel BR screwed up. We can only hope it wont haunt us against sunderland because like someone said earlier we dont have better midfielders. We want mata and costa in january! |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Oct 1 2013, 10:40 AM) allen still crocked. having aspas, now with SAS around, i foresee hes gonna be running into their path quite often. so i would assume BR will play alberto along with hendo and gerrard in the midfield. QUOTE(Yluxion @ Oct 1 2013, 10:40 AM) I reckon Henderson & Stevie will partner in the middle. While Sterling will operates on the right flank. The rest will remains. Instead of what you guys mentioned, I would say I wont be surprised if...Toure plays as DM and Agger fills in the CB slot... TOure was so dangerous going forward and at the moment, I think he is unstoppable... Hence, I would think that the lineup would be something like this---------------Mignolet--------------- -Toure-----Skrtel-----Sakho--- -------------------------------Enrique --------Henderson----Gerrard------ Sterling------------------------------ ---------------Moses----------------- -------Sturridge----Suarez---------- Mignolet Skrtel---Agger---Sakho -----Gerrard-----Toure----- Henderson-----------------------Enrique -----------Moses------------ ----Sturridge-------Suarez-------- with Agger and Toure rotating role to go forward... |
