seriously, to my eyes, day recording, it is on par with iPhone and Samsung...I'm not a fan boy. i tried to take inside the mummy ride and Spielberg studio, with really minimal lighting. well, i can't capture anything worth playing.. but then, seriously, do you have in hand a lumia 1020? ..its a camera phone, not an absolute camera phone. it does a good job, but it still come with limitation..
omg !!! Phones and cameras should be banned from concerts!!!
well, for me, day video recording its very hard to see any difference at all unless you put it side by side.. between note 3 and 1020, i don't see any huge marginal difference. unless you really put any effort into it.
the question is always about how you utilized the megapixels. If you compare at small resolution of course not huge marginal differences.
I have mentioned to many forumers if u view at 8MP and below there not much difference. If you view at 20MP to 41MP thats where the difference is so obvious. The next is when you zoom and cropping thats where you see the difference. Ordinary point and shoot you wont see much difference.
But you notice they keep posting 4R photos so thats where its missing the WOW vector. Just imagine close up at 41MP.

quite agree wth n808...i feel good about it, and the result it produce. But its quite hard if you want a quick shot in low lighting condition. That's where Lumia 1020 came in handy, it less tweaking, and I in love with all the Nokia camera apps..so easy to use.

quite true, 41mpxl do give some advantage to the phones.. But for me is when I try capture still pictures inside the mummy tomb, and need no flash at all, while Samsung s4..struggling and with flash, produce a zombie picture. Its a wow factor to me.

if you have ever been inside the Singapore mummy ride, you would understand what i am talking about...and if you have the 1020 with you, if video recording has any tweaking like the camera pro cam, than you should know...emmm what are you saying make no logic.
Hello! It's been a while since I post anything here. And I have a question. Can I pair my Lumia 1020 to laptop (Windows 8.1) via bluetooth to transfer music, video, etc?
i just tested the 1020 today at nokia LYP. not as thick as i thought as i'm still using my old iphone 3gs.
camera is damn good. fyi, i'm a nokia N-series phone user too.
but too bad i can't jump ship to this 1020 because i heard there's issue with whatsapp notification. sigh.
i'm a wp7.8 user....a heavy whatsapp usage day to day basis... (1000+ notification/day roughly) i would say now there's no more notification issue....(believe me i've seen worse back then when wp7.5 just launched)

If I'm not mistaken, for video recording to shine you're supposed to use the Nokia Pro Cam app to do it and the main difference is in the audio capture. Can't quite remember, video isn't something I pay too much attention to.

video recording doesn't have much options...well, i think the next step for Nokia should be the video recording capabilities.. for still picture, i am really satisfied with the image outcome.
don't be such a kid, my opinion doesn't out weight the other opinions... i only said, said that how i feel about it. if you can prove me, your daylight video recording is better than note 3..proof it.

it doesn't matter about the other video, that is theirs. inside the Spielberg and mummy ride, i can't record anything in the video compare with the picture taken in auto mode setting..unless Nokia put more setting with the video recording. well my next question is, do you own one?
