This is not Lumia 1020 specific & I dont know whether its appropriate to share it here. Just sharing.

In my opinion, these are all my fav app in terms of functionality & UI. It has great live tile etc. No compromise when using all these apps.

Just some tips though, since you are exploring the Windows Store for apps, if your phone ever does a random reboot on it's own it means you have downloaded a Windows Phone 7 app or an older version of it. To check whether it is a WP7 app or not just check the last time the app was updated.

I used to have this issue back when I use 920. But now I rarely download any new apps so I don't get this random reboot anymore.

I've used these apps for a long time before (before using Lumia 800). They're all compatible & updated. Since its coming from reputable developers, all are stable & very good. Just my personal experience.

p/s: And from what i know, any 7.5 app that is not updated cannot be certified as WP8 app. So there's no need to worry i think bro. But still there's a lot other app that can bring problem to our phone. Still need to be really cautious about that. I'll share with all of you if i've experience any problem with any app.

This one I don't know. But previously when 920 was launched in Malaysia there was so many apps for WP7 that my phone can load. Everyone was pretty frustrated about the random reboot until I found the solution.

anyone has problems with their phone being detected by the laptop?

my laptop sometimes refuses to detect my phone. even with the windows phone app. restarting both devices also can't work

any idea why? problem with laptop or phone?

A few reasons
- Cable problem
- Is it directly connected to the laptop or through a hub? I have a situation where I can be drawing too much power and thus it can't sufficiently maintain a connection to the phone. But then again I guess I was asking for it when I plugged in a 7 port USB hub

Does gdr3 fix the volume prob?(seperate ringer with media)

No, currently the Preview version of GDR3 (for developer usage) had rotation lock, close apps by pressing "x" on multitasking windows, customize sound notification for SMS, E-mail, and in future apps as well.
