There is some rumour flowing out that Nokia will soon merge both Nokia Pro Cam and Nokia Smart Cam into one apps called Nokia Camera, rumours also say that Lumia 1520 is the first phone will enjoy this apps.

That external battery will make lumia phone in charging mode, the glance screen will always on to display battery status. I would say is Some kind of glitch for lumia phone.

Anyone had read the Nokia 1020 ads on Chinese newspaper? I facepalm at their translation.

0.41MP + oversampling 0.05MP for easier file sharing.

Smart Cam use 10 frame burst, so don't allow you to meddle the camera settings to avoid affecting the image quality. But i notice it under different light condition it will automatically adjust ISO (till ISO 3200) and shutter speed for the optimum image quality.

AFAIK, X-box music don't had equalizer for you to adjust, but at settings>audio, it allows you to set equalizer for earphone usage.

Ringtone, either connect it to your computer and put mp3 to the ringtone folder on your phone (had time limit/file size limit). Or use Nokia Ringtone Maker (@fantasy1989 had put the link for it at Essential apps section), to rip out the ringtone from the mp3 song (1 minute maximum duration).

Lumia Phone had settings that allow you to immediately wakeup/unlock the phone and open camera apps by holding the camera button for 4sec. It also allows you to set other camera apps (Nokia Pro Cam, for example) as default camera apps when you open camera apps on your phone.

Yes, it was using Micro-USB. Hell i even use Samsung Galaxy's charger to charge my Lumia 920.

Drillz:

all connection include bluetooth, NFC (tap+send in settings), WIFI should turn off to safe battery.

If you first time charging the phone, should let the battery had few more charge cycle before battery reach its optimum performance.

You can try HD Photo Viewer apps to see the true quality of photo on your phone.

@fantasy1989 can add this HD Photo Viewer at front? Forget to add this.

One thing to take note on the 1020 screen is, it was a 2.5D gorilla 3 curve screen, so SP always had problem to fit at the edge of the screen.

If viewing the photo from pc, the file name with _Pro_HighRes.jpg is 34MP version while _Pro.jpg is 5MB version.

34MP don't had thumbnail display on your PC.

p/s, any photo shot with Nokia Pro Cam will had file name ended with _Pro.jpg, default WP8 camera apps don't had, just date /time on the file name.

Lumia 1020 used in Studio Photograph.

Not sure why they stick something neaby the Lumia 1020 lens before taking shot though.

After few update, the apps on WP8 become quite stable now. Just that if your line connection is bad, it will had notification delay.

But like new whatapps owner on IOS, whatapps on WP8 only allow you free trial for one year, after that 0.99 USD per year fees.

No ideal one, ISO is how sensitive your camera's sensor to incoming light,

Under low light condition, you take photo with:

High ISO, allows the camera to take picture with correct light exposure under fast shuttle speed (fast shuttle speed -> less chance of blur due to handshaking), but high ISO will resulting electrical noice amplified on your picture.

Low ISO, camera need to had longer shutter speed to get correct exposure, but long shutter speed will had higher chance photo get blurred due to hand-shaking (so use tripod to compensate it), but less noise on your picture.

so low light not just ISO, shutter speed and exposure compensation you need to take note of, check Nokia Pro Cam tutorial for more info on those parameter.
