If Casio do, maybe yes. Imagine G-Shock Smart. I already have the name 

Don't worry la. No one buy one. Expect it to drop to RM400 after 6 months no one buy and with rumors of Gear2 coming.

Yeah! Probably, I think those real watch company will only do if they seen they is a market for smartwatch.

Actually I still feel what the point for having smartwatch like Samsung one, for fun only, haha! But I like it some because it design quite nice.

I don't think I will ever answer via that watch or calling people. Reply short message maybe only, and yeah that camera is a fun part.

Casio CEO Kazuo Kashio is sending a clear message to Samsung, Apple, and any other company considering a move into smartwatches: "we're prepared." Speaking with the New York Times, Kashio notes that "suddenly, everyone's discovered the wrist," referencing the recent onslaught of smartwatches from Pebble, Sony, and others. "We've known for a long time it's prime real estate. We're prepared."

Amid the constant Apple iWatch rumor mill, Samsung has been readying the world for its first Android-based smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear. The Korean manufacturer, which sells more smartphones than any other company, has confirmed that the watch will be unveiled during a September 4th Samsung event at the IFA consumer electronics conference in Berlin. Samsung has been dabbling in smartwatches for a long time, but the successful release of the Kickstarter-backed Pebble has opened the door for a smarter smartwatch.

Both Motorola and Sony have released smartwatches in recent years, and Sony recently unveiled its SmartWatch 2 to lukewarm response. Samsung's model is expected to operate in a similar manner to Sony's, with most of the configuration taking place through an Android management app. Apple, as you'd expect, has been coy about its plans to enter the market, with perhaps the clearest hint being a statement by CEO Tim Cook back in April hinting the company was readying to enter an "exciting new product category."

there, the giant awake and say "what, who entered my territory?" the giant watch companies are most welcome to battle in smartwatch.. but what worried me, do they have enough resources in the software part? as we know, smartphone manufacturer are readily matured in the software part, and they develop the smartwatches to work well with their devices.

Actually the only watch company can fight is Casio. Casio already dab into gadgetry like Camera and Android phone.

So I think Casio can fight. Other company like Seiko, Citizen etc seems like sleeping only. 

Haha, I have the same thinking like you. I'm poor student. See people go g-shock me very envy. When I go to work, I straight buy 3 g-shock from ebay. 

Work and save bloody hard for it... 1 hour RM3 only... that time remember bought it for RM329 i think.
The basic black G-Shock.

When went to work, bought a Tag, now need to change the strap and it's going to cost me RM1500!!!
Thought of ditching it and buy a G-Shock...can buy 4 with that price.
So Samsung Gear... no for me but if it's a G-Shock Smart I'm in...
