Who Can Help to inteprate this document regarding Maybank Islamic FD?
http://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/FAQ(IFD-i).pdf

What is the meaning of Murabahah or cost plus sale?

If I deposit Rm10,000, , 1 Month Maturity,
What is the outcome of
1) Maybank Islamic FD (3%)

I heard from Proton and Nissan salesmen few days ago, car loan interest
rates have gone up effective 18 March as instructed by Bank Negara.

Do you think FD rates will go up soon too?

According to Top Flo, OCBC will strike back with 3.65% Islamic FD next month;
meanwhile Affin has been steadying with their board rate 3.6% (see below picture)
for long time..

Will UOB react to OCBC to capture back the FD market share?  sweat.gif
We count on you to bring us good news, and please do not forget about our million Ringgit
group FD deposit deal..Bro..  biggrin.gif

Hi bro, definitely UOB will increase our FD rates but as I know from now not "so soon". Lol, most probably at MAY or June. However, car loan interest rates increased I'm not sure since UOB doesn't not provide car loan for customers. Well, I will keep you all for latest news for FD in UOB. thumbup.gif

BR FD depositor ... withdrawal can be done exactly on its expiry date or have to wait 1 day after that? Remember reading somewhere on this forum but couldn't find it now.

Thanks.

if the interest rates are same for both cases, then you will have better cash flow for dividend credited monthly...

If the interest is credited into your SA, then it is compounded in your SA.

What I understand is usually the interest rate for monthly credited FD is lower than the conventional one. However if the interest rate is the same (for BR), then eventually you are getting slightly more with the monthly interest compounds in SA.

If BR dares to drop their 1 year FD rate to 3.7%, I think nobody will
place FD in BR... biggrin.gif

If chose interest to be paid on maturity there is no additional benefit as no compound interest.
