"If it does not rain this three weeks, then I think the National Security Council, which is studying the whole situation, will have to declare a water emergency," said Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.

"We are all praying for rain. If it does not, it is going to be really bad," he said on Thursday.

Oh yes, free for life visa infinite given too.

Don't you think that makes you a target? imagine if a group is loitering around the exits of shopping malls, looking at the credit cards people use as a way to judge who to rob/kidnap for ransom etc.

Pull out your visa infinite and you will be an instant target tongue.gif

So 3.85% for 3.5 months... not much considering Affin Bank is 3.6% p.a. for the whole year.

This is a good question.

If members suddenly want to cancel and not to participate before our representative talk to
the bank, this is absolutely fine, no problem at all.

Even after we talk to the bank, members want to cancel also can. No hard feeling la, we are
still buddies la..  biggrin.gif

Because this is their own money, we have no right to force members to participate this plan.

Based on the number of participating members, we know roughly how much funds we can
consolidate.
Nobody will run away members' monies la. How to run?  biggrin.gif

Each member will bring their own money/check to go to their desired local bank branch to place
FDs at special rate with their own names on their FD certs.

Your further questions are welcome..  thumbup.gif

Wait you mean as a group, we go there, but we each have separate accounts? if that's your plan then I am in (in the PIDM section) smile.gif if you can make the banks do this, that would be a cool thing smile.gif

However, if you have PB, it was not too bad. Here are some of the benefits I experienced:
- free buffet at Concorde Hotel for participating in their customer experience feedback
- free meal from the RM, buffet at their PB centre
- I can sign & pre-approve transactions. If I am busy, I can just call her to authorize any transaction like withdrawal for UT
- I have gotten umbrella & food warmer for their FD promo
- PB gifts was Ceruti pen, diaries, notepad, leather baggage tag & wallet

Interest is low though tongue.gif

QUOTE(gchowyh @ Mar 14 2014, 12:11 PM)
Unfortunately, no special rate for FD even for PB.

I was told by someone that soon we will be charged a higher tax or something if we have more than 1 credit card? Don't know how true is this.

There is already a surcharge for people with more than one credit card smile.gif

FDs earn money on money you have saved (and can still use).

CCs 'earn' money on money you spent. If you didn't spend that money you'd have more.

Of course, there's always required spending, but anything above that, no matter your CC give you 50% cashback, you're still not 'earning' money, just spending a bit less.
*
CCs have 50% cashback? which ones? smile.gif makes no sense, they would just lose money on it, since they only charge 2% or 3% how can they give anyone 50% cashback? rclxub.gif

Don't have la, max also 7% or so (AMEX on the Maybank2Kards). Just using example, even if 50% still doesn't mean you're earning money. So lagi at 1-7% you're not 'earning'.
*
Actually if there's 50% cashback.. can buy stuff and sell at 20% below market price, still make 30% lol smile.gif

QUOTE(Berkshire Breakaway @ Mar 17 2014, 02:36 PM)
like my case, i just present the points, why they should give me something free and they usually do. I would explain to them how much business they will lose and how stupid they would be if they don't give such a small rebate of 500 for example.

Time and effort used to explain to them all these things > free gift value. The only thing you cannot make more of is time. Time and effort must have a good ROI as well smile.gif
