When I checked with EPF last time (maybe in 2011 or 2012), the EPF officer said that only self employed can topup their EPF using this method. Normal wage earner; can only increase their contribution by asking their current employer to increase the employee's % contribution to a max number (think it was 16% .. or something around there). Maybe now has changed.

For those wage earners who has recently topup their EPF, please advise if this can be done ... 6.35% is definitely much better then the best available FD rates now.

BR FD depositor ... withdrawal can be done exactly on its expiry date or have to wait 1 day after that? Remember reading somewhere on this forum but couldn't find it now.

Thanks.
