Tree fern doesn't need too much light. In fact it thrives under some shade.

Haha... I just worry that it gonna grow too fast and gone out of my sight very soon. >_<

I haven't been updating much on this site as I'm away for a week in home town celebrating mid autumn festival with my beloved parent. Picture below are some leveling work at the first floor which was done around 4 days back. So far, I kinda satistfied with the workmanship of the contractor and I'm pretty impressed as they are doing such a good house keeping each and every time they demolish anything. It is totally not the 'dirty' site that I've imagine it could be.

I really like to ask if anyone can share their experience who has came across this situation which I'm not sure whether it's a normal thing to happen during renovation... After the leveling work at first floor when the cements are still wet...i observed there are quite some water patches and some water dripping thru the ground floor's ceiling...is this what it supposed to happen?

This should not be too big of a problem because flooring in living rooms, kitchen and bedrooms are usually not waterproof. Your contractor could have been mixing the cement on that level thus water leakage happened.

The leveling on first floor is a regular room and not toilets am I'm correct? If it's toilet above the leakage then you need to get it verify because there's flaws in waterproofing.

Talking about my initial plan to plant a tree in the courtyard...i'm so upset that I need to call it off. sad.gif
I went for a ba-zi reading 2 days back and my ba-zi chart does shown that wood element should be avoided as it clashes with my main earth stars which will also affect my health and that's the main reason i decided a 'No' to the ground-rooted tree...Hence, I've no choice but to get my contractor to fill up the hole again....
However, i will still want to cover up the whole courtyard with stones and pebbles. Then, i gonna plant the fig tree but it will just be in a pot this time so that it wont be overgrown...

Ahhh...it's a relief to hear that... tongue.gif
Yup, the dripping was observed only at the non-bathroom area. I have seen them doing the flood-test in those bathrooms the other day to test water proofing...

Since I'm now still away in hometown, I do not have much current progress on reno to update, so I will just share with u guys some of my previous and recent purchases... smile.gif

In the recent Perfect Livin' fair, I've paid a RM2500 to lock-in the fair prices for quite a number of stuffs (including tiles) from Ga Hing. We had visited some tiles shops in Jalan Ipoh a month ago when our contractor asked us to start going around window-shopping as he probably knows that the owner usually need quite a few rounds of 'look-see' before we could settle our mind on what we want. In fact, I admit that we change our mind so fast and still indecisive even after our first visit to Ga Hing's showroom located in Old Klang Road. The only thing that I've decided is the general colour scheme of grey and white that I want for kitchen as well as the bathrooms....

Few days back, we went to Ga Hing again but this round with the contractor along, so that he could assist me on the quantity to order. This time, the selection of tiles made so easy with the assistant and suggestion from the contractor. We made up our mind pretty fast with his advices and obviously we seems to be more 'confident' on our choices this time. tongue.gif

For both bathroom's at first floor we chose niro's cementum GCM04 to match wall tiles as following pic..

For downstair's bathroom we chose Niro's Traces GTS04 to go with Guocera's SP119C.
Kitchen floor will be 2'x2' H66004 from White Horse, matching with MML's WM022 (Silk White).

We chose Niro's tiles for our bathrooms' floor first of all we love the design, second reason is because the water seems to dry up faster on a Niro tiles. Yes, we did some experiment with a little water from my tumbler...we poured some water on a few selected tiles of similar design but different brands. Some tiles just hold the entire patch of water and it became so slippery...while some did dry out moderately but Niro's dried up real fast! I get a 30%off for Niro.

This is the 1'x2' homogeneous tiles that I'm going touse for the front porch. It will be matching with pebble wash which the contractor will make it into a simple design which I requested. I hope it will turns out just what I want then..

I don't think u can see very clearly from the following pic but I do love the texture and it's colour. smile.gif

I think I've forgotten to share the very initial part where I applied for the electric supplies from TNB and upgraded it to 3-phase. So, here it goes-

The house was original with the single phase but the 3-phase wire is already there right before my db meter. I went to apply a new account and asked for a 3-phase upgrade at TNB. The staff then introduced their registered electrician to handle my case. I decided to engage that recommended vendor although my contractor can do it because I presume it should be faster as they were recommended from ppl inside, hence they should have the lobang and connection to make things move faster.
Of cource I'm kinda correct and lucky, I got everything settled and the electric supplies in less than a week.

For sharing purposes, the following are what I have been charged for:
1. Technical adjustment and electrical make good for 3-phase upgrading (ELCB, DB, Main switch, etc) - RM1100
2. Submission cost payable to vendor - RM800
3. Payable to TNB:-
a) Connection charges - RM300
b) Meter Deposit - RM480
c) Stamp duty - RM20

It all comes up to a total cost of RM2700, included deposit.

Those are my fav too! Love the mix materials instead of boring stereotypes... The upper mosaic in the last pic is also mixed with aluminium but just flat pieaces unlike the bottom ones with 3D waves. Hope I can find them soon. wink.gif

Tree planting and water features in the courtyard seems to be an unreachable dream for me... Although I didn't really get a feng shui master to analyse my house, but I already know that I should keep away from woods and water which enhancing woods.. That's because my bazi really has kinda serious clash of woods on my Earth stars, which could probably cause harm to my health..(I have some kinda serious illness that I'm still fighting it)
I need more fire and earth elements around to battle the woods.. So, Im gonna put more pebbles, stones and even rocks (will see if I can find some nice big rocks tongue.gif)..
By just looking at those rocks perhaps could already make me feel better at least psychologically! Lol!!~

No worries. Same thing happened for mine.
Once it dries up no problem.
Unless you flood it in future then it will happen again as it is not waterproofed.
