Thanks, I've actually walked thru not less than 15 shops before I get the dinning table that i like...i love this table and bench at first sight really. I get this from Cellini.  smile.gif

Did you wait for Cellini to go on sale? Must last reno I saw my ideal sofa set from Cellini which came with a price tag of RM 15K, during sale we booked it at 6.5K but when ask to choose fabric for cushion, was told the factory stopped production for that particular model. I insisted on getting it since we already paid deposit. When asked if they have any display set, they said only have one last piece located at their showroom near IKEA, went there to check it out and notice some scratches on wooden arm rest. Bargain for further discount and came down with final price of 5K.

When putting in this much money for reno, keep your eyes peeled for best bargain. You may want to get your kitchen fittings such as sink, taps etc from Singapore, saw some sink selling here at about 2.5K while Singapore selling between 400 to 500 sgd.

Thanks bro, for your reminder. My deal with Cellini is also a slightly special deal as a result of negotiation due to some miscommunicated info by their sales person earlier. It's kinda complicated to elaborate the story here but I've managed to negotiate a better price, even few hundred lower than what they've offered in the recent perfect livin' fair.  icon_rolleyes.gif

As of your sofa experiences, I've exactly the same situation here...Rustica rang me to inform that there are certain few colours which will not be available anymore due to colour discontinue by thier leather provider. As I haven't choose my colour yet, I went over to check the available choices. I find myself ok with one or two of other colours though...  smile.gif

I haven't been thinking of getting anything fr Spore yet...no idea what's the procedure gonna like and the tax wise... Btw, I've already bought my Fotile hood & hob, oven and sink from the reputable forumer here (Builders Hardware). The order was placed during the Homedec in May. Kinda good deal with some extra freebies given during the fair. I'm considering to get other fittings and bathroom accessories from him too..

I really like to ask if anyone can share their experience who has came across this situation which I'm not sure whether it's a normal thing to happen during renovation... After the leveling work at first floor when the cements are still wet...i observed there are quite some water patches and some water dripping thru the ground floor's ceiling...is this what it supposed to happen?

This should not be too big of a problem because flooring in living rooms, kitchen and bedrooms are usually not waterproof. Your contractor could have been mixing the cement on that level thus water leakage happened.

The leveling on first floor is a regular room and not toilets am I'm correct? If it's toilet above the leakage then you need to get it verify because there's flaws in waterproofing.

Ahhh...it's a relief to hear that...  tongue.gif
Yup, the dripping was observed only at the non-bathroom area. I have seen them doing the flood-test in those bathrooms the other day to test water proofing...

You can still do a water feature in your courtyard. Keep us posted. Cheers

Tiling is the most exciting part for me. Once tiling is complete, majority of interior will start to take shape. Keep it coming.

Ya... Can't wait really...
This team of chinese sifus are very hard to book as they have very tight work schedule... I have waited so long for the tiling because I insisted to use them particularly...as I have seen their work from my neighbor's renovation earlier...

How's their workmanship on your project? When I'm ready for reno, will get their contact from you ya. Btw how much they charge for hacking and retiling?

The tiling job has just started...not much work has been done for me to judge yet. Furthermore, Im now back in home town for few days...and really curious about the work progress at site now... hmm.gif

My tiling job was quoted by my main con. Following are part of the quote for your refference...
- To remove unwanted wall & floor tiles for carporch, kitchen and all bathrooms - RM3000.
- For master bathroom measured at 11'x7.5' - floor tiling RM598, wall tiling RM2584.

Wow...you tile up your bedroom walls too, impressive. Appreciate those info provided. Look forward to your update when you are back. Have a good trip.

The kitchen door looks fine to me though, just that the top window frame need to be the same width as door. So have you decided how to fill up your courtyard yet? Zen style garden with lotsa pebbles and stone carving?

Glad you had everything worked out. Progress looks good. Keep it coming. I'm still hesitating if I wanna use mosaic tiles for shower area in my new unit as this is a ideal place for mold due to humidity.

Mold is commonly found between tile's gap unless color of your grout is black. smile.gif
