The price shown is retail price, you can get better offer from sellers. smile.gif

I dont own it, before that you can read the review:

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-MSI-GS...k.102287.0.html

For GE70:

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-MSI-GE...ok.98244.0.html

For GE60:

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-MSI-GE...k.104693.0.html

MSI is really designed for gaming as it cooperate with Steelseries, Dynaudio etc. to promote its market.

By the way, you dont consider other brand also? e.g. ASUS/ILLEGEAR/Alienware/Y510P

If you compare in terms of graphic card, others may end up suggesting you add RM200+ to get Y510P SLI

If you say I7+GT750M right, competitors are ASUS N550JV and LENOVO Y510P SLI

Features of GE60: Steelseries keypad (non-backlit for GT750M variant), Killer Lan, 4x2W speaker

Feature of Y510P SLI: Red backlit keypad, JBL 2.0 speaker, Dual GT750M (performance on par with GTX770M)

Feature of N550JV: White backlit keypad, 2.1 Sonic speaker with external subwoofer, dual fan cooling, FHD with IPS

You mean GE60-2OD (RM3999) right? spec:

http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GE60-2OD.html#specification

Hmm, I would say RM500 include GTX760M + Blue Backlit (steelseries keypad)

I think is worth, bcs the upgrade part is with BACKLIT + GTX760M, playable game settings are from medium to high.

However, if you ask others, they may suggest you go to Y510P SLI for on par GTX770M performance. smile.gif

edit: gaming benchmark for 750M, 755M, 760M, 765M and 750M SLI (just tick the graphic cards then press enter)

It does not come with steel series keyboard and no backlight, but i use it to game just fine. Overall GE40 the build is quite good. Light weight(1.9kg with battery), long battery life(i used up to 6 hour with wifi on, browsing and constant downloading and still left with 20%). The screen wise, i would say its only an average screen, for me, i use it for movies and gaming and its more than enough(i don do photo editing which needs good screen). Heat wise, i'm still using stock thermal paste, even after prolong gaming, the temperature barely touch 90 degree in room temperature and a CM cooler. After prolong gaming the palm rest can get a bit warm.

Dear all Sifu

I just bought myself a Gp60 yesterday, so the warranty period where can check? Or I need to register product only got the warranty ?
*
Warranty period starts based on the invoice date, as long as you keep the hard copy is fine (scan copy for backup).

Other wise register your product online here works too:http://register.msi.com/ , easier to access to our online customer service system for support smile.gif
