I saw this new unit of Dahon Speed 8 old model selling at Toabao.
Old spec with biologic seat pump, kinetic pro wheelset etc etc
RMB2360 and after adding shipping fees will be like RM1500+

Here is the link

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....&id=25406364435

Do u think it is too good to be true?

From China worr! What happens if arrives here, it is different. It's a good buy if what they describe is as it is. I have look at your Ugo the other day and I am sure the FD can be done but then again it not worth your while to upgrade, might as well get a better buy. Thing is, your prospective future purchase is also an 8 speeder only worr, no double crank. hmm.gif

I think you should check for Hasa Minimax in Bicycle Buy Sell. I think there's still another one, trying to sell for RM1.3K. Maybe you can negotiate for lower. Should be good for you. No need to upgrade and all. thumbup.gif

I think earlier than that. It was bought for 2.4K, if I am not mistaken. He has two and moved on to road bikes. He sold the red one, only the blue one left.

There no point going backwards. If speed is what you are aiming for, then change to road bike cogs at the rear. Increasing the cogs in front will increase speed at the expense of harder pedalling. When it comes to uphill rides, you will be without the lower gears! doh.gif

Yeah, that's what I am worried. China worrr.. haha
Anyway, for FD if it's not worth to upgrade might as well stay stock.
The problem is the Raleigh is so nice to ride now after changing tyre to Scwable BA that I am a bit reluctant to change hence the upgrade thingy came into my mind. tongue.gif
Anyway, still undecided. Hasa I dun quite like their design. Maybe a Java Fit or Tern P9 laugh.gif

no difference...
11t is the smallest u can get...
wan speed the front nids to go bigger..
55x11 u just slower ~ 2km/h than a normal roadbike la....

but u hv advantage of small wheel...

hv u tried pedalling a road bike700c at 50x11 from stand still ??

I ride with all roadie last weekend at Guthrie.
Pick up foldie will lead but after 5-10 sec, u will see roadie overtaking u effortlessly. shakehead.gif
About 3 minute into it, the gap is wider. After 5 minutes, ayam lone rider. yawn.gif
Haha, maybe ayam not good in cycling gua.. doh.gif

yes, at the highest gear setting pick up small wheel is easier to pedal....

n obviously those cyclist are far powerful than you.
yes u loose a bit gigi on the front n big tyre oso..

but if 55x11 with kojak etc... same power cyclist will have no prob
catching up with road bike punya...
