doesnt hurt to go walk around those shops ... go a few shops ... see who you "syiok" lah ... service and friendliness matters ...

for me even though the price might vary ... but if that shop is friendly ... i would pay the difference

and its an outdoor sport ... stop checking price online and calling ... get up and go out

I'm looking for my first foldie too, been to a few shops to check things out. There was this place where the taikors here say the owner is so friendly. He was, but only to his friends who were chatting with him there. I came in the rain, stood there for 10 minutes, and they totally ignored me. Didn't even glance at me, and their closed conversation didn't give me any chance.

Never going back there again...

Are you talking about the one in BU? They are probably very engrossed in their conversation to notice much else. There are mostly big boys who want to pass the time and talk more than anything else.

Just go up to the boss and say: Hi ! I am looking for a foldable bike, and he'll show you what's available.

Once I asked for a model that he did not have and he right away called up the main distributor to check...

Thank for the calculation.. But i still not really understand, will try to figure out how to calculate.

I no need to over take Road bike(where can over take road bike, Speed=that is what road bike design for..)

Wow... 60T.. Not bad also. i can train pedaling, n maybe can help my stamina improve faster...

It depends on your quick release lock. Can it like totally open up? I know the Verge P18 cannot because the QR mechanism does not allow you to open up. It just allows enough room for the handlebar to twist, so if I wanted a drop bar, it won't be able to mount.

Easy on the newbie la bro.. hahahah!! biggrin.gif
If you are a seasoned rider, you can go on and on and on and on.. doing flats.. Running out of breath means that your heart is not properly conditioned to the physical strain..

That said, if you really want to test your average on climbing, cruising and speedworks, you should go to Genting Peras in Hulu Langat, Genting Sempah or KKB - Fraser's Hill...

No this one. The one that is on top, holding your straight handlebars. If you want to take out the handlebars and put in the drop down bars, can the QR be opened up to put the drop down bars. If not, then you might want to check if you can slowly slide the drop down bars from one end to the middle section.

Hahaha!!! New riders la.. Haven't found their niche yet..

Changing tires, wheelset, groupset, add crank and chainring as big as a scooter wheel to climb coconut trees, put everything carbon fibre on the folding bike, won't change anything if you are an unfit cyclist.

Folding bikes are for people who want to take things easy. Some bikes are made to perform and go "fast", but how fast? Well, the bike is as good as the cyclist la..

Based on experience, most newcomer who gets a folding bike and wanted to go fast, overtake road bikes, superbikes, buses, trains and jet fighters would usually end up on a road bike or give up cycling entirely.. Macam tu la..
I think who u join for cycling is very important... if u can found ppl like Sam and also some TaiKo in this forum then u will enjoy cycling n cycling...
