hi, just want to get opinion fr wp8 users.... i intend to buy lumia 720 but most shops say wp8 got lots of problems, and recommend samsung galaxy series instead, on android ofcos. do u guys face any issues? i can't really find any physical units to view/hold cos all shops/kiosk display samsung phones! i m fr seberang perai, penang. pls enlighten me. thanks.

no problem lar. ask them back, like what kind of problem? essential features like call/sms, internet, mobile, GPS, all working fine.

but my camera lens like got problem... otherwise, it's a perfect phone. other users are very satisfied with it.

WP8 does not have much problem. It is fine and smooth. I can think of two major issues: lack of apps and slower notification issues. Lack of app is a problem if u are a app junkies, but WP8 got most of the main apps covered, so not much worries there

If you want to have a try on WP8, maybe visit a Nokia shop?

Damn. My friend bought a L520 and it got the Amber update out of the box!

problems as in? I'm came to L720 from my s3. Sick of sucky battery life. WP8 is a nice OS besides that its a bit of unpolished. Its still young give it some times, I'm sure it'll rise like iOS and Android.

Yes. Maxis set also got. But i can't find the FM radio at Music there... maybe not completely updated.

That's a pretty awesome phone! Battery life should be way better than 920 because 920 has a slight more gimmicks that suck battery out but hey, if the phone works for you then congratz!

Recently i got play a while Lumia 520 at Maxis Center.

At Extras+Info there, i didn't see a big "LUMIA AMBER" label on there. Thought the phone was still in GDR1/Portico (didn't check firmware and OS versison).

Maybe the phone didn't update extras+info system apps yet.

It looks as though it has amber update, as it has Data Sense and the find wifi thing using data sense. Otherwise, not much noticeable difference at the moment.

yeah mate. Never gonna have to do bump charges and carry a stupid power bank with you anymore. Finally found a phone I love so much that never dies on me anymore. Playing with the phone all day long without worrying about the battery. I've been loving Android for so long, never thought WP8 could take me away from Android that easily. I'm looking to upgrade to L920 for the screen resolutionbut afraid to give up the great battery life since you just mentioned L920 battery is not that great. Or Maybe the rumoured 1520?

Oh you will miss Android but there are some things that you really like about the OS that you wont give up easily unless you get yourself a different OS tablet.

Lumia 920 last me a day, discharge on 1am with data on (I don't really like to charge the phone overnight). Woke up with 80% and lasted until 9pm with 15% left.

Usage: Constant on Wifi on lockscreen, WeChat & Whatsapp, check email, made some calls and evening LTE data browsing and some Kindle reading.

I know this question is kinda newb for a first timer like me.
Does the back cover of the Lumia phone has some sort of warranty stickers on it ?
It will bother me if it does, since i plan to get one and use it with just the original case.

Nokia had update extras+info again.

This time they move the glance and touch settings out from display+touch systems apps, and put separately on Settings. And other fix and improvement

Now easy for people to find the both settings on next time.

What's your Lumia model? FM Radio not available on Lumia 620, Lumia 810 and Lumia 928...
If your Lumia is not the one listed above, maybe try to update all the Nokia Utilities app via SysApp Pusher
