Suggest u lumia 820 , all it now promotion for rm900 . Else u can consider ativ s from samsung , it's even cheaper

Actually would suggest Nokia over Samsung. The apps that come with Nokia are just so much better than what other manufacturers like HTC give (not sure about Samsung). For example, you can get Nokia Drive (GPS with voice navigation) for free if you have a Lumia, but for me (using HTC 8X and Australian app store) costs AUD45.

minor upgrades spec wise, but the weight difference is pretty significant.

for me, its a bad news.. hmm.gif

Since until now Nokia only use low-spec processor,
then when put in an Android, it will become slow and lag just like other Android devices..

And of course people prefer Samsung.. Marketing too good.. yawn.gif

925's camera's lens is slightly better than 920, as Nokia manage to add extra 1 lens (6 lens) into camera housing.

925's display is using AMOLED display while 920 is using IPS display, so you definitely feel there is difference between both display. Both display's pixel resolution still the same.

925 is lighter weight and don't had built-in wireless charging coil, you need to buy extra wireless charging shell if you wish to use Nokia's wireless charging pad. 925 also thinner compare to 920.

925 had smaller internal storage space (16GB) compare to 920 (32GB), both model had no SD card support.

925 use aluminium body shell while 920 use polycarbonate.

Other remain much the same, especially after 920 get amber update (same with the one 925 getting now)

Depend on your choice, as 925 is not an upgrade to 920, is just another option provided by Nokia for different user preference (especially those people that complain on 920's weight).

FYI 920 is even heavier than current Galaxy Note II.

well, when i tell him i want to sync w w8 laptop on words/excel doc to wp8 (lumia) he reply microsoft office in wp8 is limited time usage, maybe 3 mths free only, after that can't use anymore. i think he (and mostly other sellers) not familiar w wp8, all android supporters, haha!

as for lumia 725, it's just my guess as all 7-8 shops i went to ask all said L720 no more in market/stop selling liao, so maybe 725 coming soon??

Chances the next 7XX phone will be running WP8.1 or GDR3 which probably have higher chasis than the current gen.
So, the name 725 suggest incremental upgrade or variant of 720 is unlikely to happen.
IIRC, there are about 6 to 8 Lumia devices in their pipeline including 1520 aka BANDIT. So, I supposed you can get Lumia 920 now (costing about RM 1.3K nowadays), or if you can wait, wait till October or November then you should be able to see the new Lumia series running new chasis.

Else you can get L820, but the updates for L820 is slightly slower than 920 though.

To sync from your laptop (W8 or not) to wp8, you use Skydrive (i.e. over Internet, not USB cable). As long as you put your files on Skydrive, it will be accessible from both sides. The time-limited trial is crap - maybe he is trying to say that Office on mobile does not work exactly the same as on desktop? Which would be true for any/most apps that let you edit the files. For example, Word on WP8 doesn't show pages like on desktop, it shows the text as continuous.

It's true that you don't get to customize the phone as much as on Android, you get to choose the background colour (black or white), theme colour (red, blue, green etc), lock screen wallpaper (own image, Bing image of the day, or you can choose an app like weather to show the current weather, Facebook to randomly show your tagged photos), change the size of live tiles (small, medium, large shows different amount of detail)... I think that's quite customisable already compared to some other mobile OSes.

Good that you're not app crazy! Me neither! (but sometimes I scream inside why all the major companies/banks in Australia don't make apps for WP, I am studying there now, they LOVE making iOS/Android apps for every single small thing!)

1. Free for life. That joker obviously doesn't know what he's talking about.
2. You can use Bluetooth to share files. Only WP7 couldn't.
3. Live Tiles are there for you to customize. If you want Android kind of customization, then you should be getting Android, right?
4. WP apps should get you going enough
5. Who gets a phone to trade in these days? Don't forget, Nokia handsets have a guaranteed 36 months support, unlike our friends over on Android. So you'll probably only need to replace yours in a few years (by then every phone would have little to no value), unless you intend to chase after technology.
