personally i change because the water pump for most proton cars aren't cheap however labor to open up your timing belt (which includes disassembling the water pump) can cost almost a brand new gmb original water pump itself.

"might as well" right?
*
Ya, the water pump alone is RM220. I also heard most of the ppl will change water pump as well during service timing belt, just wonder whether the water pump can last until 2nd timing belt change or not... sweat.gif

really hard to say, kinda up to luck. if your coolant/water are always clean and you use high performance coolant/additives that has water pump conditioner/lube, then perhaps can give it a try on not replacing the water pump.

Guys I'm considering in changing new tyres.. Currently using Falken 322 and 912 .. Grip is ok but the noise is unbearable.. Thinking to change either Michelin xm2 or Yokohama c drive 2.. Stock BLM tyre btw 185/60/14..
Which is better in terms of better noise reduction and grip? And any info about the current price for these two brands of tyre?
Needa do some budgeting since changing all 4 at one go might burn my pocket quite deep..
*
noise reduction and grip arh ? u change all 4 ? aiya... u directly whatsapp me also can la... u got my number mia...

hmm, does the sidewall TWI actually matter? the triangle shape ones... mines all grinded off >.>

and funnily enough, unlike the c drive 2 (where you'd get some contact depending on how harsh you abuse the tires at corners rofl), the ad08r has this line thingy, where it'll be completely "off limits" from flexing/contact, however the TWI is beyond that "line" :/

man, i'd never knew that there's so much to learn/know in regards on 4 pieces of rubber attached to your car's wheels.

Lekiu is closer to Exora.

The Lekir concept will never see the light of day, because it is a 2 seater sports coupe based off a Lotus Europa.

GaGa is twincam, so FC is slightly more than Shawie mia D4F, totally understandable lar. At first I also buttache bought GaGa, but now got used to it lar. Infact my FC start improving day by day as the engine ran for 45k mileage.

Yeah I think I was pampered by my shawie too much la. Nvm, I'll adjust my expectation.

Just keep in mind, for CVT, first release foot brake, until the car start creeping forward baru gradually increase your gas pedal. Don't like driving ordinary sohigh/AMT release brake immediately whack gas pedal. Your S4PE will whack your wallet if you do that sleep.gif
*
Ok ok will make sure to do this as a habit. Thanks for the tip.

Stupid EON tried to trick me into taking Magnatrap for my 1st service. Thank god for TS and nice ppl in this thread, I did not fall for it. The girl told me estimate cost for 1st service is around 200. I was like 'eh, bukan 100 plus je ke?'

Then she sed it's estimate only so I asked her what do I need to change for 1st service so she told me oil filter, gasket and engine oil. She showed me the PC screen and the total and it was 200 something. Luckily I saw the list of what they gonna do and she had Magnatrap in that list. I asked her to remove it and she did, 'oh tak nak Magnatrap ek. Ok saya remove'. doh.gif

So again, thank you all in this thread. Because of u guys I've managed to save myself RM50++ biggrin.gif

I won't recommend doing it when you're going more than 100kph....I also won't recommend doing it often above 60kph.

Most of the time if I want instant torque I just activate SAT and tekan kuat skit to induce downshift.
