Having a large disc brake is not entirely base on wanting braking power. When you have a larger rotor that matches your rim size, you'll get a lot more easier threshold braking. I'm not saying stock brake no good or the imported pads is flawed. The fact is, when you have a small rotor with a bigger wheel, as and when you try to clamp your brakes, either it doesn't bite, or it bite harsh and you jam brake whistling.gif Don't forget, iswaga front end so dem heavy, you can't possibly work on 50/50 brake force distribution. My case, ayam guessing most of my braking power has been routed to my front, my rear brakeshoe can last like forever icon_idea.gif
*
actually, it is easier on threshold braking because to have much more braking capabilities you essentially lower the time required for threshold braking and thus you can spend the remainder time to tackle a corner and/or accelerate faster during/exiting the corner; and of course larger disc means bigger cooling surface which would prevent your pads fading if you threshold brake too much/too frequently.

rim size aside it's more of a weight problem; The 5kg/rim i'm using for the ad08r right now is actually lighter than the majority of sport rims at 14" and even to an extent on cheaper 13" rims, granted there aren't that many choices for 13" and below anyways lol
and as we know the weight is the main factor on creating the heavier momentum that warrants better braking force

which is why i opted on upgrading my rotors, and spending so much more on the brake pads which so far has never disappointed me except for the detachment part which i suspect it's more of a aging stock issue

and yea, the rear brakes pretty much last forever since they aren't really worked on. although somehow i'm having a lot of dust generated at the rear not sure because of really bad braking habits (prolly cuz i want to finish the front bpads faster so i can get brand new ones of the same pads from UK directly LOL!) or the shoes are dusty... (bendix ceramic based, supposed to be low dust, but as i found out recently that's BS LOL!)

Basically that's the only drama happened, the rest are casual driving due to unfamiliar of road, which is why I suggested to let me drive 1 round earlier. Out of the blue, suddenly Quazacolt suggested the old Sg.Besi Nirvana road heading to Bestraya winding road, we took a U-Turn and hit Desa Petaling. We tackle a few nice corner at moderate speed, and finally slowing down at Bestraya as I scared there's speed camera.

neh the company. the point at speed traps i think should be back to kesas already

basically the usual routes i take when doing midnight jobs at Sg.Besi TPM would be here:
https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Jalan+Ku...z=18&iwloc=ddw1
sg besi road and then entering Sg Besi Highway (alternative route) aka BESRAYA
(omg look at the corners wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif )

QUOTE
The Besraya Highway is also called the Lebuhraya Sungai Besi or Sungai Besi Highway. However, due to its close proximity to the PLUS (North South Expressway) Sungai Besi Toll Plaza, we at Besraya have chosen the name Besraya Highway to help users differentiate the two. In fact, Lebuhraya Sungai Besi is the name gazetted by the Government and the Malaysian Highway Authority for the Besraya Highway.

^
TIL (today i learned)
i thought besraya and sg besi highway is different whereas they are the same haha (hence the highway david and i know and come to love is actually the same place but we recognize the names differently hehe)

=edit=
added my end point TPM route, basically a brief moment on mrr2, then kesas biggrin.gif

Quaz. I mean the rear setup. Did u feel the car follow through the wavy road or hop across it? Because for gaga the rear is light so if too hard the rear will hop instead of follow through. If hopping then corner won't be stable.
*
for the most part yeah. only when you're going over 140-150km/h with the road being elevated/sloped going up/down then there's some hopping and the tires have to work harder to regain minor traction lost.

i think the suspensions are fine though if you ask me; Unless you're actually asking on comfort then heh sweat.gif

Problem is if I was to use their high range ones, there are better offerings from other brands like Yokohama, Toyo, etc. Lol
*
well, yokohama's high end aren't cheap either. if we're to compare it's best to compare with in the same range/category, and needless to say, anything slapped with the word "Advan" on it majority of malaysians avoid like a plague lol.

To me 10K interval with semi synthetic is totally fine. At 5k, the oil still looks brand new

so far, i've yet to experience a SS EO that can past 5k km without me complaining on the engine response/smoothness.

not even LM MOS2 lol.

*
they are typically red (if using ATF lol) or orange/yellow.

no you don't fill it to full. you fill it between full/low line which from the canister, typically it's around half tank/low ish visibly

Back in the old days, AD01 was overwhelmed. Be it street racer or track practice lap, people like it so much. However, AD02 doesn't seem up on par with its competitor, partly because "B" branch "P" series tyre the competitor offer a slightly cheaper solution, back then the Hongda new toy rear wheel drive put the "B" brand and standard tyre, suddenly AD02 standard has been pulled down by all these placebo effecting the entire market. Despite some good review of AD03 later trying to save their reputation, but majority of the public took a step back and observe between "B" brand and Yoko. Until today, the dilemma still surrounding Yoko as mixture of review surrounding. Believer will continue to support, observer will continue to observe, ranter will continue to rant whatever the f*** they heard bad about it but never bother to try the product by themselves.

If ask me, as 1 of the earliest batch Yoko user on the AD01, I have never try to protect their reputation. The feeling of having these tyres in your car is so close to your heart. By changing the tyres alone, despite it's a same widthness with an ordinary Cibaistone tyre, but the AD01 will kena sagat on the same rim on the same car with the same suspension setup. Reason being, the rim guard groove is so damn thick until I had to roll my fender to clear it. As and when you drive, sand and stone got suck up and hitting on wheel arch that kind of weird feeling makes you feels like driving a track car. When you have not enough horse power, you get the car jump forward instead of wheelspin. Under wet condition, I feel the car skid, fun enough to know where the car is skidding to and my next steering reaction suppose to be what, I have all that on my palm and I know where my car will end up exactly. Only another Yoko AD user have this kinda feeling, and able to share within their small AD user community.
*
EXACTLY what's going on the scene atm.
so i just went "f*** it" and try it myself because i can't find anyone else who tried/willing to try sad.gif

and yea, that's the consensus of using the neova tires, you just KNOW what's going on with the tire/wheel/car nod.gif

Last time i used Total Quartz 9000 5W30 for 4 bottles until my local workshop stop carrying that brand.  So far not bad compare to the oil i used. Better than Shell and Petronas FS EO. Anyway it is SN API (i know it has nothing to do with protection and performance), as long as i confident with this brand, why not?
*
yeah it is API SN certified so no matter what shouldn't suck too laugh.gif
