NAP policy favors CKD vendors, not proton. Most CKD cars have similar excise duty like proton already. NAP policy is to protect the cronies. Which include all car companies.

I really looking into tomorrow launch of this car. Looking at Toyota have to release their pricing just one day before this car is launch, it make me feel that it was really good car this time.

Blame Malaysian. Malaysian generally didn't put safety features as their main consideration when buying the car.
If not, people here are not too dumb to buy Dugong kosong instead of many more safer car in market.
People only talk about safety when it related with Proton but deep in their heart, they don't give any single shit about number of airbag, abs ebd features etc.

My friend saw first hand on the H brand a few years ago. The car broke in half. He swore he will never buy that brand.
