Lols, the money is one thing, I still don't think my skills can justify me a FX camera yet, maybe few more years down the line la.

Besides, I'm still a student, so installments are still out of my reach just yet laugh.gif

Really have to be careful over here haihs...
To be honest I could never really focus during more "serious" photowalks in M'sia because I always have to look behind my shoulder every once in awhile lol XD
Damn I really miss my D90 lol

Remembered those time I had in Singapore an HK, don't have to worry about a single thing, just shoot and shoot and shoot thumbup.gif

Your skills are justified, I approve lol
Hell you are better than me by a very huge jump mate, just like teetatee, silverfire and a lot of the other sifus here notworthy.gif
Save bits by bits, one day sure can afford happy.gif

I took a big jump so that I could save the money spent on upgrading slowly laugh.gif
Having a FX camera is fun and all (check! not just an FX camera, but any camera with BG and also a big@ss lens), but I almost always feel scared to use it since it attracts a lot of attention- a bad thing in Malaysia lol
I guess that's probably why almost all of the sifus here have a secondary laugh.gif

Update: Next time can exchange lenses too laugh.gif

So I was keen on asking this question about suitable lenses for taking figure and model kits pictures (Figure collector for my D90 and I tested out the Macro DX 40mm before and it was still not giving me the satisfaction I need to get more detailed closed up shots without compromising the lighting.

Anymore recommended lens?

Definitely D800 type body and controls. Bigger buffer is a must since almost all of their current models except for the D4 cannot last more than 15-20 frames.

Probably will be seeing a new af sensor or revised 51point for more sensitivity in low light.  drool.gif

It should have the same af system as the upcoming D4s...

Are you already using a flash? Cause that might solve the problem of not having enough light.

Unfortunately no sad.gif
All we have is that Nikon suffered a pretty massive loss in terms of earnings because of their low sales of m43 systems lol
I hope they do come up with a good one soon, otherwise Nikon will force me to jump ship tongue.gif

Most lenses below 90mm are too close to the subject, making it hard for lighting.

Go for a tamron 90mm or 60mm. Both have around 10cm+ working distance from the front of the lens to the subject. They get extremely sharp when stopped down too.

This is with the 60mm F/2 before I sold it, combined with a 2x teleconverter summore icon_rolleyes.gif

Their Nikon 1 system is quite popular in their home country though, ranking No.1 in sales in an article I read.

It's the people in their marketing department that's dreaming, asking for almost 3k for the V1 kit set before the massive discounts.
