eh? they do lar. I've bought from them; just-keepers looks interesting as well, thanks.

Wanna buy something from Pro Direct? I might be making a purchase in May/June. Interested?

I'll keep you informed glozz... found something intresting in the pro-direct catalog..as for just keeper the have that non-EEC tax so it would be more cheaper to get gloves from there than at pro-direct, coz pro-direct's prices are all with the tax even you're from a non-EEC country

and i need another pair of boots...the Reebok Sprintfit Pro II KFS.. saw them in pertama..still complentating though

Pro-direct also has the non-uk tax, they just call it VAT; check out the ex-vat price. Just keeper's specials prices are cheaper than pro-direct; otherwise pro-direct's quite reasonable. Lemme know; at least can save on the shipping.

HTO Subang? Best pitch? You should try Real Sports Arena in Klang or Pan Global. IMO, I feel HTO courts are 'lil too small. Results in lots of goalie physical contact. Something to protect your fingers? I'm using volleyball finger protectors currently (they've helped stiffen my fingers when I had to rehab 'couple of them after they were injured); together with Finger-spine goalkeeper gloves. Seems to have stopped the injuries I was getting. Even though my fingers still sometimes get stepped on. icon_question.gif flex.gif

Well; I'm not too sure 'bout HTO being the best; though.

Why'd you need padding for your elbows? If you're getting scrapes on elbows and knees, it is likely that your technique needs tweaking rather than equipment 'cause incorrect technique can lead to more problems; even with pads on. Besides; Terraflex (the blue material for the court) is one of the gentlest court materials for skins so if you're getting burns on Terraflex, there's probably something you've really got to look at as far as diving is concerned. As for me; I only wear an elbow support on my left elbow due to my previous elbow fracture 10 years ago. I still get the odd carpet burn on my right elbow when I'm half asleep or something, but that's normal I guess. tongue.gif Erm; I do wear other supports as well, but they're all for other injuries. I swear! tongue.gif cry.gif

I haven't done this in some time so I think it's time to "Pimp some gloves". Following are the current finger-savers gloves I use weekly; in order of rating:

First up; my current favourite: Umbro XGL3 DPS

Regarding the elbow pads, no i'm not getting scrapes nor bruises. Whatever technique you use, surely you would hurt one way or other. I don't want to end up having internal injuries when i drop on the floor. I've been playing all these while without any pads on my elbows but lately my right elbow is hurting and i'm talking about the bone, so i think it's quite justified that i need padding, without the need to "tweak my technique" ,bro.

On a lighter note! - Thanks for the tip on the finger protectors! Where can i get them? Those would help a lot!
And thank you for taking the time to answer me in detail. i always prefer answers like these in comparison to monosyllabic answers.

As for HTO, i guess i'm comparing them with kl-subang-pj pitches.

Actually; contrary to common belief; with the proper technique, you actually avoid getting hurt. If you read goalkeeper coaching manuals, goalie training is almost always focussed on technique in order to avoid injuries. As for myself; I know that even though I don't get bruises or scrapes, if I'm half asleep and sometimes make a mistake landing, bumps and bone aches are normal results for me. tongue.gif And that's while I'm wearing my pad. And as I mentioned; Terraflex courts will almost never cause carpet burns or scrapes; therefore if the technique's wrong, the result would probably be aches and pain 'round the bone area; since Terraflex is particularly unforgiving towards impact.

However; if you feel the need for pads; whatever floats your boat man. All I'll say is that unless you use the Kevlar pads which top level goalies use; I doubt it would make much of a difference. As for internal injuries; they're normally indicated by some form of restricted movement or discolouration of the skin.

Don't have to be so sensitive man; I didn't mean to imply anything else by my previous statements. Just being factual. As for the finger protectors, try normal sport shops that sell variety of stuffs. Erm, well; Pan Global's in PJ. Once again; just my opinion 'bout HTO. I feel that it's kinda small for the price. There's lots of terraflex courts 'round the klang valley that're better value.

no harm done, bro smile.gif
Ah right then pardon my lack of knowledge in fustal courts!
Which part of PJ is Pan Global?

i've not had scratches nor bruises, just the occasional far post dive. It smarts a little after the game, also could be due to lethargy!

i guess i would just like some form of pads for my elbow, just for the added protection, u know what i mean?

any recommendation for which shops i should go to for finger protectors + elbow pads? cheers!
