i dont know if it just me
the hp when using the camera, it will lag, which mean when i turn the camera to the left, it will take about 2 seconds on the screen to the left and the autofocus is slow, when open the gallery also lag a bit, im using camera mx as the stock camera i removed because of high usage ram
izit because of that?

I don't really know about mx camera but the stock super camera works well for me

If you find autofocus to be slow, just tap on the screen and it will immediately focus the area you tap. You can immediately take pics after that.

got once i was having more than 4000 photo in that album... my camera loading take 30 secs...
i did not realise... until i factory reset my phone also same...
so i try to relocate my photos... at last my camera start up instantly... haha...

in gallery, there are only pictures that came with the phone and nothing else
i think i have to factory reset my phone or flash new rom

Finally got my P780 from One Gadget last nite.
Was using S830 (rooted).
Not yet done exploring this phone yet but l really like its design wise and truly love its monster batt.
However, I did sense a tiny lag on certain task when compared to my A830. Maybe need root and flash gud rom to achieve that.. hmm..
Any suggestion on what ROM ady tested and running smooth?

Oh.. Camera is much better than S830 for sure.

There are few bugs in the software of the phone:

1. You can't save a phone number by highlighting and save from the popup menu. You can key in the name but when you hit save nothing will happen. The only way to save the number is to go to contacts, create new contact and paste the number there, then you can hit save. This is super frustrating especially when you want to be quick.

2. You can't share pictures from supergallery to wechat moments. You have to go to wechat>moments>that camera button on top right and choose photo(this is soooooo like iOS. Lenovo wants to copy iOS? Later Apple sue them how? ). From gallery to FB messenger, messages, whatsapp, wechat messages, works fine. Only wechat moments.

3. Notifications LED won't respond to 3rd party apps.

4. Will add up later if I can find more bugs.

4. SuperGallery can't detect all photos saved in sdcard, only some photos can.

Install the following app, select your media card, then click on tools, click on Rescan Media, it will take several minutes

that is notification widget, part of status bar, and status bar is part of SystemUI. you can try change ur SystemUI with same (other p780) systemui. beware, this is system file, do it with ur own risk

maybe it can solved by that apps. but it's stilla bug, right?

Fixed it, just use CWM or Link2SD clear Davlik Cache and reboot *takes sometime to boot.

This problem happened with my Sony Xperia Pro too :-P

Hi everyone. I'm a new owner. Previously coming from xperia z with sucky battery life, I'm totally impressed with this phone. But the screen seems to be less responsive as I have fast fingers during typing I tend to miss if typed too quickly. Is there anyway to improve the responsiveness of the screen? Tq.

Try using alternative keyboard apps like Swype. There's a lot for Android so try them out and I'm pretty sure you'll find one that suits your typing style.

Another approach is to use different homescreen launchers. Those are more customizable and will allow you to tweak the screen responsiveness.

I find the stock Lenovo launcher sufficient and agree that the stock keyboard isn't as responsive as I would like. This is why I went with Swype which works great for me.
