Hi everyone. Just got my P780 today. Switching from my old Galaxy S2. Tired of the overheating battery and hangs. Btw, I am a bit confused abt the max sdcard capacity our phone can support. Some are saying 32gb while others are saying 64gb works too. Can anyone help clarify this? Is anyone here using a 64gb sdcard? Thanks guys!

Bro, dont know if you know this but there is 2 types of MHL adaptor. I'm not sure how to explain it but one has a longer usb tip than normal and the other one is standard length. The longer one only compatible with Note 2 and S4 phones. The standard one usually ngam with old Samsung like my Galaxy S2.

Have you downloaded and installed the codecs for MX Player? It should work. I'm having no troubles watching streaming videos from my home network or videos stored on my sdcard.

MX Player allows you to use 3 different rendering methods. HW+, HW and Software. One of them should work.

Thanks for the tip on Dice Player. Have you tried the custom codecs for MX Player? I tested on some big bdrip files, playback was smooth(software mode) and can pause/seek/ with no issues.

Agreed bro. I think as long as there is no real slowdown and lag when using the phone then better to leave things alone. If not broken why fix it?

Talking from personal experience using my old S2, I can say for certain that it did affect battery life and even though there was more ram, performance suffered as cache aggressively cleared. Just my 2 cents

This is with some gaming in between, downloading apps, surfing, chatting and watching youtube.

It's about 60+ or minus hours which is around 2.5 days to 3 days. For me I had my 3g and Bluetooth on all the time. Heavy surfing on both 3g and Wi-Fi as well as gaming (real racing 4 and Shadowrun returns). It's probably the only smartphone with this kinda battery life in the market 😁

That's strange. Have you tried your phone without the memory card? Does the problem persist? This problem has not happened to my p780 but I had this exact same thing happen to my s2. Caused by slow memory card. Weird right?

I don't really know about mx camera but the stock super camera works well for me

If you find autofocus to be slow, just tap on the screen and it will immediately focus the area you tap. You can immediately take pics after that.

Try using alternative keyboard apps like Swype. There's a lot for Android so try them out and I'm pretty sure you'll find one that suits your typing style.

Another approach is to use different homescreen launchers. Those are more customizable and will allow you to tweak the screen responsiveness.

I find the stock Lenovo launcher sufficient and agree that the stock keyboard isn't as responsive as I would like. This is why I went with Swype which works great for me.
