QUOTE(kemek @ Nov 6 2013, 01:43 AM) If you are using stock S116 ROM, you can simply go to Setting -> All Settings -> About phone -> System update Thanks, yap, I did that but the update will fail because it will stuck in the CWM after I select "update now" and the phone rebooted to CWM and that's it..so now flash back so S116, update to S119, only then root->CWM->repartition...I just reflash to S116 (just now Btw, thanks to bro xMika guide on flashing this phone. Happy user right now Any idea about custom rom flashing problem above? Thanks again. |

Just wondering, say if we moved an app to SD card using Link2SD, do we need to Create Link?
Another thing, say if the app is updated, do we need to move the app again to SD Card? |

QUOTE(wama1go @ Nov 6 2013, 12:55 AM) Ok i found out the problem. It is because I have bluestack installed, I suspected this because my rooting via mt6589_rooter was working and when I retry again, it does not work, and give me error "error: more than one device and emulator". OMG.. Thanks so much for pointing out this. I would not have figured this bluestack was the culprit.. ha.ha.After googling, i found this and bluestack was the culprit : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1639199 After exiting bluestack, the root is working again, so does SP Flash tool, now I am able to flash to S116 successfully. Btw I am using PdaNetA4126 as my usb driver. Oh ya, after flashing, for the first time powering on the phone, the booting will take quite a while , up to 5 mins, so be patient, it's not hanging(that was my scare) Hope the above helps, happy flashing. Kudos to wama1go for finding / sharing this info and not forgetting to all that have tried to help me. A very special thanks also to xMika and few others here. Now my beloved P780 is back in action. Now still on S119 stock but rooting > repart is on its way. Thank you..thank you.. |
