Explanation from Astro...
We refer to your recent email in regard to the HD enquiry for Fox Sports 2 and 3 channels.

Firstly, we would like to thank you for taking the time to communicate with us. However, we regret to inform that at the moment we do not have channel capacity to launch Fox Sports 2 and 3 in High Definition. We will definitely broadcast it to the public should there be a confirmation on the changes in any near future.

So looks like there will no longer be HD transmission of F1, MotoGP, NASCAR etc for at least till end of year.

They launch satelites NOT for local use but to make millions through leasing to other operators, for local use its still compressed MPEG2 and low quality HD yawn.gif

If yes, I am too and I have been ENJOYING some HD channels during the WORLD CUP BRAZIL 2014 period. However, only 3 HD World Cup channels can watch out of 6.

Happens to my old Pace PVR from time to time, but it happens maybe once a month (or less), so I am not bothered about it as it does not impact my settings or recordings after it boots back up.

hmm, I think after the latest software update it happens quite often

before this, I think I encountered it once only, and I always think it is the software stability problem

so what do you think? is it the software or is it the decoder itself?

Boilerplate assteruk reply. No bandwidth, and yet refuse to lease bandwidth from other operators or take back bandwidth from MEASAT, sumore sell MEASAT 1 & 2 to Africa... shakehead.gif

No regrets canceling. Assteruk doesn't care what the customer wants.

I believe such matters should be software issue. But from my experience, Astro is quite generous with replacing the boxes. When the hard disk in my previous PVR died, they didn't even bother troubleshooting. They just came over and swapped it out, and activated the new PVR to my smartcard.

the self-reboot will be reduced if you turn off your PVR every night (or at least a few hours).

yup, I googled about it and it seems its only a trial by Astro it ended today

about my auto-reboot problem, I got my decoder replaced today. The techician said that it would take up to 3 hours for the decoder to recognize my smartcard but behold - in 30 minute, every channel are there for viewing

done with the auto-update too, so back in action

going to test it by turning it on until night to see if this decoder also have the same auto-reboot problem. Finger crossed blush.gif

They do have EuroSports HD. The downside is, it's only available for Maxis IPTV users.
