Calling them today to get a replacement.

It picks up DD signal which means that the source is DD , but for some strange reason when it passes down my amp sees it as DD but shows it as 2.1 and nothing comes out
I hope this is not the case , I am suing SAMSUNG SmartTV , by right it shouldn't decode DD stream and pass straight to amp. I hope it's not one of those HDMI HDCP thingy that does not allow me to pass DD stream via HDMI

Will test it out with my PC later via HDMI , as my pc is connected straight to the amp for 5.1 surround

Yes! If SP HD fee is inclusive If yours is a new Beyond box just buy the  cable and upgrade your pack.If your box is outdated then a new box is needed

Just updated to the beyond from the old one. When first started, can view certain hd channels. We tried the auto update, but it seems the machine download again n again, and after dl, it's nothing. On the decoder, there's a red light flashing  for every few seconds. And cannot even get the clock display. What's wrong??? Can someone advise please?

I'm still using the old Nokia decoder. Recently received a letter saying that I can upgrade the decoder to PVR decoder for free. (since the old one going to obsolete soon) But I asked Astro, they saying that I need to subscribe to PVR if I upgrade! Anyone that face similar situation before?

I also recently upgrade to super pack 3. No charges at all.

Btw guys, anyone use astro on the go on others android phone other than listed in their faq list?

I don't want to upgrade my package though. (no superpack, pvr, HD,etc) Just wondering whether the decoder will not work in the future or not...

b4 upgrading to superpack, me do change the decoder also recently becos the old 1 got problem. also foc but they will disable the HD function n the decoder don't have PVR. I believe HD & PVR come together. If you want PVR, must have HD but not the other way around.

I see... thanks for the info. But my decoder still working though. Asked Astro in the Facebook page, and they say need to subscribe the PVR if want to change the decoder... 

Guys, this few days i test my signal strengh n seems getting around 150 n channel2 getting below 100 but signal quality full. What happen to my signal getting so low, before that getting over 185. tq

Signal strength not that important. as long above 120 or 130 I think ok dy. Signal quality must be full all the time

Don't have to care if your existing decoder works fine. Just use until they beg you to change decoder. Read the first page of this thread.
