mine running HDMI to TV and Optical to Amp. But since my TV don't pickup DD from my Astro through HDMI(but samsung decoder don't transfer DD signal anymore through HDMI)(Blu Ray works fine though), I plug in coaxial from Astro STB to my Amp to receive DD5.1

Finally can force update on my PVR, thanks to Astro own tips:

QUOTE
Perform force update : Reboot the decoder until "BOOT" appears at the front panel of decoder, press Standby, Channel +, Standby. (Must press at decoder front panel). The decoder will go to auto update if step done correctly.

Perform power reset for 10 seconds.

Sigh. After force update, the system version still the same. doh.gif

Guys..I'm getting pissed off with my PVR decoder right now..

First, there are numerous phantom recording and it's taking space and I can't delete them..

Secondly, the programmes that I did record, are often stuttering, skipping a like 5 seconds as if we were watching it during rain.

Then, my dad just called me up tonight telling me his Astro has gone kaput..reboot takes up to an hour and changing channels takes 2 minutes..seriously is there a virus or what?

Yes Byond PVR has lifetime warranty but obviously, it the quality of these decoders nowadays seriously sucks for the amount of money we pay

The Super Pack 3 with HD services sums up a total of RM164.30.
I believe that the RM20 you mentioned is included inside that total sum above. Correct?

p/s: Well, could i just get the HDMI cable and PVR panggil mereka simpan balik, i use back my own decoder? laugh.gif

I received a call a few weeks ago regarding the Astro/Maxis TV and internet bundle. As my 2 years on Unifi was up we decided to take them up on it as it was cheaper. It was installed today but I am overseas until April so won't get a chance to have a look at it for quite a while sad.gif . Apparently there are some new channels, does anyone have a list of them (with channel numbers) as I can't seem to find them on the Astro website? Thanks.

It picks up DD signal which means that the source is DD , but for some strange reason when it passes down my amp sees it as DD but shows it as 2.1 and nothing comes out

I hope this is not the case , I am suing SAMSUNG SmartTV , by right it shouldn't decode DD stream and pass straight to amp. I hope it's not one of those HDMI HDCP thingy that does not allow me to pass DD stream via HDMI

Will test it out with my PC later via HDMI , as my pc is connected straight to the amp for 5.1 surround
