QUOTE(smileguy @ Jan 11 2014, 03:51 PM) Mine HDMI to HTS ,it reads DD for HD and PCM for SD,when HDMI is used coaxial is disabled ,my HTS picks on and off audio, thats asstro! When HDMI unpulgged coaxial works! good to hear yr tv is DD! It picks up DD signal which means that the source is DD , but for some strange reason when it passes down my amp sees it as DD but shows it as 2.1 and nothing comes outQUOTE(Anonymous34 @ Jan 11 2014, 09:14 PM) mine running HDMI to TV and Optical to Amp. But since my TV don't pickup DD from my Astro through HDMI(but samsung decoder don't transfer DD signal anymore through HDMI)(Blu Ray works fine though), I plug in coaxial from Astro STB to my Amp to receive DD5.1 I hope this is not the case , I am suing SAMSUNG SmartTV , by right it shouldn't decode DD stream and pass straight to amp. I hope it's not one of those HDMI HDCP thingy that does not allow me to pass DD stream via HDMIWill test it out with my PC later via HDMI , as my pc is connected straight to the amp for 5.1 surround |
