Getting Started

|
QUOTE(dgboy @ Jan 8 2014, 09:22 PM) The new call rate and 2x validity only applies to new activations and those who migrate to the new plan. However, based on past experience, ultimately UM is likely to move everyone onto the new version of the plan. The old plan has been also changed to 2x validity U mobile seems need more money

My UMI length is what I concern about not line validity. If my phone line no more UMI its basically no use to me, data > call/sms

QUOTE(fcukcompany @ Jan 9 2014, 11:23 AM) The old plan has been also changed to 2x validity U mobile seems need more money Thinking old validity still applied to former plans, I was going to do another year's worth at 3X but luckily checked with RM10 -- only 20 days. RM180 too much balance for me, esp no intl roaming. TTalk only RM38, XOX auto free 28 months, and U-Mob dead spots when I need it most. Looks like got to jump ship again. Looks like got to jump ship again. you may consider Tron as well, although I don't know how its network(MNVO with digi). Its validity is reload once(min RM 10) then add one year validity(no stacking, just like normal ones, the one with the longest period counts unlike XOX). Pretty useful if you consider only using it to receive and make some calls and not its data and the lot.

Actually you can mnp to another telco with active validity for 1 month and 3 month passive ,so if only receiving calls, just mnp to another telco every 3 months, super low cost haha,
Forgot to tell that Friendi just make call can extend validity already

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Jan 8 2014, 11:15 AM) no, prepaid users that are not using UMI plans and are using this plan as a backup plan(need LONG validity) should not upgrade p/s: my england too confusing ke apa ni, everyone pun xfaham  Does that mean that once you started or subscribe to any of the UMI plans, the validity is 2x instead of 3x? Anyway I think all prepaid plans are 2x already whether you take UMI or not - https://www.u.com.my/prepaid_planThis post has been edited by idoblu: Jan 9 2014, 10:11 PM

Every 1 no need to guess Ok, first is the rate plan, Old plan got free call free sms 18 cents per min New plan got free calls free data 20 cents per min Then VALIDITY BONUS = 2 times top up amount , means old plan new plan top up RM 10 also got 20 days only Then Umi plan, only NEW PLAN APPLY, NO MORE OLD PLAN

XOX gives 28 months right from mnp. Another problem with U-Mob, I think a big jump in one-off data rates. It wasn't always 0.20/mb was it? the 0.05 with TTalk whatever 2G 3G speed is enough for my odd daily check when I don't have wifi, and I seldom finish the 0.88 for 24 hrs package. Last I looked at Tron, it was hard to get. Need to update myself all over again. Seems U-Mob becoming as untrustworthy as the previous generation of telcos.

XOX is nice for the 28 months, but after that then It used to be 0.05/mb if not mistaken. Tron is hard to get as in?
