2G uses Maxis, so identical to Maxis.

3G uses their own in some locations otherwise roam on Maxis.

Buy the prepaid and test yourself.

Why then when I'm at mid valley mall, my signal strength shows full bar and 3G but I can't surf and can't call?
I also wonder if roaming in maxis line is just telephony and not data

Does it happen often? I had that issue from time to time as well but it returned back to normal after I've rebooted the phone or turn on airplane mode and then turning it off.

i did try going to airplane mode then normal, still the same.
dont think its the phone cause my friend also using umobile cant call me. he was also there at the same location.

anyway I am encountering the same thing everyday at RHB Main Tun Razak and OSK Plaza Jalan Ampang. Line full bar, 3G signal but cant surf at all. Waze cant work, whatsapp not connecting. everyday!

im porting back to maxis....sigh


so far only these three locations. once i get on the road, its fine.

while EDGE got maximum strength, i'm using 3G with only 2-3 bars(sometimes only 1 bar)

now i'm forced to use EDGE to enhanced my battery's performance.

it's embarrass to see that an iphone5s still using EDGE while other users are in LTE

Any one of u guys face this problem? Im a S4 umobile user when my phone is open with 3G data after that I receive or make a call but opponent always cannot heard clearly wht i said?

possible also, and I faced that also occasionally. It is due to the fact that the 3g signal is not so strong so the call quality drops

Hi guys, anyone know how to activate roaming on prepaid U mobile?
Previously when I go overseas U mobile number still can use. but recently cannot use.

Prepaid not possible to use roaming except in SG.

if i buy the prepaid+UMI18, do i need to RM 30+18 for 30 valid days?

nope. Just reload RM30 and RM18 will be used out of 30 for the UMI18. So, there's no need to reload 30 + 18, just 30 would do

so what happen to the remainder RM 12? since i dont use this phone to call, will some money from the RM 12 transferred to the next month?

Prepaid credit doesn't expire, so it'll just stay in your account. Next month maybe you reload 10 so you have RM22, then you can buy UMI18 again and have RM4 left.

nope, prepaid is based on a pay what you use model, so there will be no charges unless you utilise something(sms, call, mms, data)
