If developer can get LAD free extension, how come buyer has to bear the cost and continue pay interest during that period? Food for thought lol

Simple, banks need to repay their investors and gahmen need developer to keep developing to get land sales and taxes revenue.

Not really. There are stronger protections for buyers globally. The concept of progressive payments for in progress development is not normal practice in Western countries. The sale only gets completed when the building is finished and passes occupation checks. The caveat is you have to cough up a large deposit upfront which is held in trust. Regardless the developers can’t touch the money until they’ve done their job.

This is really bad. I can understand government giving extensions during MCO, CMCO etc. But they have fully opened up the country for so many months already, and yet still giving extension to these developers! This will set a very bad precedent. Anytime any developer faces issue, just request extension from KPKT.

As much as the the government need the land sales and tax revenue from developer, they need to understand that ultimately it is the property buyer/investor that is driving the market. If we lose confidence in buying new properties, most developers will not survive.

If can finished really can celebrate pray Gods pray ancestors. If got LAD treat it as bonus. Sue, court case and lawyers these all are richman tycoon games.

Look at Plaza Rakyat case. Those owners cry until no tear.
