if wan go for gaming, RE-15 or MSI the 15inch 4299 one better?
*
You mean this?
GE60-2OE, i7-4700MQ + Nvidia GTX765M + (1920x1080; anti-glare)@RM4299,8GB, 750GB(7200rpm), W8, backlit keyboard
vs
Illegear RE-15, i7-4700MQ + Nvidia GTX765M + (1920x1080;matte)@RM3599[Onkyo], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), FreeDOS [CPU Options: i7-4700MQ - i7-4900MQ][/color]

GE60 - lighter, thinner, worse heat profile, backlit keyboard, better speakers (in my humble opinion)
RE-15 - customisable (case colour, screen panel, .... )

Performance wise, should not see much difference.

I'm currently on tight budget to buy a new laptop.
Currently Asus A550CC-XX309 is on my backup list in case the model I want (i5-3230M+GT 635M 2GB) is out of stock.
A550CC-XX309 comes with i3-3217U and GT 720M 2GB.

Is this combination strong enough to run Photoshop smoothly?
How about games like L4D2 and Fallout 3 + New Vegas in high settings?

why 15"?
Asus A series give lousy spec for their price tongue.gif
How much is your budget?

Photoshop need CPU power. Depend on how extensive a job that you are doing, and how large is the file size.
With that spec, forget about high setting sweat.gif Low setting if you want playable fps.

QUOTE(miwang @ Aug 2 2013, 07:17 PM)
Looking for laptop of following specifications:

i)  Any except Acer, HP & Fujitsu.
ii) Around RM3000. Slightly higher is ok.
iii) Working purpose (Quite heavy multitasker). Light Gaming like CS only.
iv) Preferred Ultrabook of light weight as need to carry overseas always. Screen size within 13'' to 14''. SSD would be a plus point.

Any suggestion is welcomed. Thanks!
*
Intel HD4000 could handle CS in medium setting (HD resolution).
Multi-task need more RAM (8G or more). But some 13" ultrabook models don't have spare RAM slots to upgrade.
Don't game long hours with these ultrabook without good external cooling solution smile.gif

Asus
S300CA-C1033H, i5-3317U + Intel HD4000 + (1366x768;touch)@RM2399, 4GB, 500GB, W8
UX32VD-R3001H, i5-3317U + Nvidia GT620M + 24GB mSATA SSD + 500GB HDD@RM3099[1.45kg], 4GB, W8

Dell
XPS13, i5-3337U + Intel HD4000 + 128GB SSD@RM3399[1.36kg], 4GB, W8, backlit

Samsung
Series 7 Ultra, i5-3337U + Intel HD4000 + 128GB SSD + (1920x1080; anti-glare)@RM2999[JBL][1.46kg], 4GB, W8
ATIV Book 7 NP740U3E-X01MY, i5-3337U + AMD HD8570M + 128GB SSD + (1920x1080; touch)@RM3499[1.65kg][JBL], 4GB, W8

An interesting option is this 14"
Dell
Vostro 5460, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT630M + (32GB mSATA SSD + 500GB(5400rpm))@RM2199[1.54kg], 4GB, W8SL, 3 cell
Only 1 RAM slot, so you need to get a 8G stick (~ RM200) to replace the 4G stick. Then buy a SATA SSD (128G ~ RM300, 256G ~ RM600) to swap out the HDD (both aftermarket upgrade will not void hardware warranty). Then extend warranty to 3 years with Accidental Coverage. Should still be within your budget.

Prices are RSP, negotiable.

edit:
Price of 8G RAM stick.

The on-board speakers are ok, but if you plug in external speakers should be fine.
Screen? Don't worry man. Opt for the 95% NTSC gamut screen, calibrate it. Best screen you will ever find for gaming laptop thumbup.gif

All serve your usage requirement.
Y510p is cheapest (RSP RM3099)
N550JV has the best screen (standard spec), but RE-15 can be customised with an amazing screen. In fact, RE-15 can be customised, period smile.gif

If I really has to choose, I will go for RE-15 (I really like that NTSC 95% gamut screen tongue.gif ).
But I think if you go with Y510p, you will have the most budget left to go for a 256G SSD (~ RM600) (swap out the HDD). SSD really make a huge difference in responsiveness.

the Y510p is not out yet right?...how bout interm of heat?...
