blue colour is kinda hard to find. sweat.gif
even though there are stocks, the specs may vary. let me check for you at my company later, whether there is blue or not.

iinm, for Lenovo, only U series has blue colour, but U series is a bit over your sister's budget.
You could also try to find the older Z480 (which has blue colour), but don't pin your hope on it tongue.gif And even if you do find it, has to negotiate hard since its old listed price is over her budget.

Generally, laptop with colourful shell, for 14", will be ~ RM2k range (e.g Toshiba)
There are a few models from various brand at 11" that has blue, but those are a bit underpowered (with Atom CPU) for your sis usage.

If she go for Dell 14R, she could has a "blue LCD cover" as well  hmm.gif

Haha it's okay. My sister did said if there aren't any, it's fine with her. I did showed her Dell 14R but she doesn't like the design. I guess looks does matter to girls. (I for one doesn't even care how my laptop looks as long it can pack lots of power flex.gif )

Hellooo..

Am looking for a lappy with following specs:
- i7 or i5 (at least 4th gen)
- 8GB (expandable to 16GB)
- Full HD
- budget 4k
- decent battery life

Right now, the best option i have is Lenovo Y500.
Any lappy with 14inch that has Full HD and within this budget?
Mainly use for work. May need to run VMWare and lots of programming.

Care to share what other options available?

Thanks!

Of course you could install any OS on it you want (as long as you can get all the necessary drivers). But it don't come with W7, you need get your own OS.

Yeah W8 is soooo unstable that those machine of 100 million W8 license holders must be crumbling in dust smile.gif

Lenovo don't provide OD anymore for consumer class laptop, iinm.

Put it this way, unless you are buying business class laptop, which provide W7P using downgradable right of W8P, you could not find new laptop with W7 (directly from brands) anymore.
*
Oh . If Lenovo don't provide drivers' CD anymore then how should I install them if I were to format them in the future @.@ ?

What's your opinion ? Should I go for Windows 8 or stick with Windows 7 Ultimate ?

Yeah when will Lenovo Y510p be available in Malaysia ?

Do you guys know the price if I just go for 1 graphic card instead of 2 ( perhaps replace it with a SSD or ODD , not sure which one still , any opinion? ) ??

I guess with 1 2GB graphic card is more than enough to play any games on above average settings , correct me if I'm wrong >.<

I play Dota 2 and HoN mostly though .

What if someone wants to do a clean os installation into their SSD instead..will that be hard?
and Y510P/410P ssd is not common now...
do you think grabbing a cleaning stock Y500 with msata 128GB ssd is a good idea when 510p out?
