Hi, I would like to ask u all regarding to Honeywell's management style. FYI, I am a fresh graduate. I did receive offer from Honeywell, Petalling Jaya, Malaysia as Project Engineer. However, what they offer me is a half year contract and the salary is about RM 2300. I would like to ask u all that is this the Honeywell recruitment culture, they only offer half year contract and RM 2300 to fresh graduate? Besides, could you all tell me the benefits or allowances that Honeywell offers to employee? |

QUOTE(nash9701 @ Aug 11 2013, 11:12 AM) everyone has chance to join OnG...just do not give up...nowadays due to high salary demand from experience OnG guys, company will start to look alternatives from other industries... Concerns on the labor shortage in the oil and gas industry, the BIG CREW CHANGE is one of the reason. I guess this is the global issue not only in US. So folks, keep trying and don't give up..(^__^) "As of 2011, 26 million U.S. jobs – 20 percent of all jobs – require a high-level of knowledge in any one of the STEM fields. Additionally, between 2008 and 2018, there will be 2.4 million job vacancies for STEM workers, according to a Georgetown University STEM report. Of these job vacancies, a large percentage is needed in the oil and gas industry. Around 64 percent of all companies report concerns over filling skilled job positions in the coming year. Most of the positions needed in the industry are specialized and in areas that didn't even exist a decade or two ago, such as seismic interpreter, hydrocarbon mud logger, geomechanics, and subsea engineer. "Companies frequently cite the skills shortage as the biggest challenge in achieving growth so as an industry we are pulling out all the stops to make sure we have the skilled people required to develop oil and gas for decades to come," said Malcolm Webb, Oil & Gas UK's chief executive, in a statement." http://www.rigzone.com/news/oil_gas/a/1282...the_US/?all=HG2 |

QUOTE(FortNil @ Aug 11 2013, 01:56 PM) QUOTE(NewbieBetta @ Aug 11 2013, 02:29 PM) there will be color blind test during your medical check up if you wanna go "offshore"..I think slim chance for that. You may ask the doctor for confirmation. Yup, there is a vision test during your medical. btw, red & green are very important colours out here. Best not to mix them up ever. |

QUOTE(noonies_naruto @ Aug 8 2013, 08:45 PM) hi there guys. Heard that people with 1 yr + exp in med firm is getting 4k(if not more) in schlumberger.I'm currently in a big4 audit firm, another 2 years to get that hyped 3 yrs experience lmao. Want to join petronas, but last i asked the HR, she said the salary is around 5.5k. Is that considered a fair amount? or should i be looking at higher for an O&G company? Either that, or should i look at some other foreign based O&G like schlumberger etc? Anyway what pos u plan to go for after ur treasured 3 years exp in audit? |
