Very disappointed with AZ World Car Services (Seri Kembangan SC) for telling me that my service coupon is not valid since it is overdue according to them based on their own terms and conditions. They seem to have different set of terms and conditions from NAZA KIA Malaysia. I know that they (AZ Master) sell cars at a good deal but this is not the way to provide after sales service.

The speedometer LCD info panel on my car shows "Service in 1 days". So I told them that in my service booklet and service sticker all shows different dates. Therefore, my scheduled maintenance service is still within the allocated service interval period.

As customers we would appreciate that they will honour the service coupon especially when it is still valid.

I would like to share this with everyone so that you need to be very careful after getting a good deal at the start but you will get your nightmare later on.

The seri kembangan SC is really quite hopeless. They present themselves fairly nicely, but when trouble hits or push comes to shove, they just abandon the owner. Happened to me back when I had my engine oil leak and gearbox issues.

Never went back there since as there are much better SC out there

Had similar bad experiences with AZ World Seri Kembangan SC as well last year. Looks like no improvement yet till now. I find it strange that Buydirect aka Mr Loh who is the owner of Seri Kembangan SC happens to be very active in this forum doing sales but somehow their after sales service sucks.

Agreed with perror as well, after 2 bad experiences it's best to avoid going there again.

Dear kennethkp,

I have looked into the issue you have highlighted regarding the service voucher with my partner SC (AZ World Car Services), run and managed by Mr Simon, the service manager. The service voucher for free labour charge is indeed void because it has exceeded the maximum 7 months period from the registration date. FYI, Kia Service nationwide has now implemented SAP system which actually "locks" up any servicing that has exceeded the maximum service interval and buffer period provided.

To clarify the matter, the SC will not disallow any voucher for no apparent reason, unless it has really exceeded the maximum time limit.

The service interval/schedule is based on the reading of the odometer OR the duration /time span from the registration date of the car.

So, for second service, it is due at 10,000 Km or 6 months, but you have a maximum buffer period until just BEFORE 12,000 km or 7 months from the registration date of your car. It is NOT from the LAST servicing date or last odometer reading at last service.

Example
First service due at 1000 km or 1 month
But let's say you service only at 1800 km or 1.5 month
Your 2nd service is STILL due at 10,000 km or 6 months and NOT
11800 or 7.5 months.
Your maximum buffer is therefore until 12,000 Km or 7 months and NOT 13800 Km or 8.5 months.

It is because of this confusion, that owners sometimes send their cars late for service.

The free 3X labour charge, is actually given free by KIA Service HQ, and not by the servicing outlet. THe service outlet need to claim the cost of the labour charge from Kia HQ with the voucher, but once it is invalid/expired (servicing past the buffer period/mileage), such claim will also not be entertained by HQ.

Thanks for clarify as i think these example does explain issues of the service period. However i do have one doubt on the 2nd service period which is said 7 months from the "registration date".
I actually did have a conversation on this on my 1st service, the sc personal from red cube said is 7 months from "1st service", so it's buffer 1 month from the the advice 6months period to 2nd service. That is what i heard, as i thought i makes sence as after 1st service date, you have 6 months period to drive until 10K km, before 2nd service which ever comes first. And buffer of 1 month until 7 months from 1st service for low milage car owners.

Anyway, best is to go b4 the adviced service date laugh.gif

I think what the SC personal meant was 6 months from 1st service, assuming you service your car after 1 month. That means you will reach your maximum buffer of 7 months from registration date. Do not exceed beyond 7 months. This is clearly written in black and white at the bottom of your FREE labour charge voucher, hence, it should be the ultimate guide.

Just checking which body kit would u all recommend ?
i believe KIA do offered the body kit while you buying the car, is that worth it ? or there is better choice outside ?
Any idea ?

Body kit comes in various design and material. Best to go to a reliable supplier (either from your SA or shop), that also provide good service, as overtime, the body kit may get detached and need to be made good again. Sometimes, the paint may wear off due to stone chips or when you hit the road curbs, and you need to re-paint and that's where support comes in handy.

During the test drive, the person only show me 1 type of body kit, and it is in a small picture from his phone.
yes, i agreed to get a better quality but it is too limited choice, may be. hmm.gif hmm.gif
