Very disappointed with AZ World Car Services (Seri Kembangan SC) for telling me that my service coupon is not valid since it is overdue according to them based on their own terms and conditions. They seem to have different set of terms and conditions from NAZA KIA Malaysia. I know that they (AZ Master) sell cars at a good deal but this is not the way to provide after sales service.
The speedometer LCD info panel on my car shows "Service in 1 days". So I told them that in my service booklet and service sticker all shows different dates. Therefore, my scheduled maintenance service is still within the allocated service interval period.
As customers we would appreciate that they will honour the service coupon especially when it is still valid.
I would like to share this with everyone so that you need to be very careful after getting a good deal at the start but you will get your nightmare later on.
Dear kennethkp,
I have looked into the issue you have highlighted regarding the service voucher with my partner SC (AZ World Car Services), run and managed by Mr Simon, the service manager. The service voucher for free labour charge is indeed void because it has exceeded the maximum 7 months period from the registration date. FYI, Kia Service nationwide has now implemented SAP system which actually "locks" up any servicing that has exceeded the maximum service interval and buffer period provided.
To clarify the matter, the SC will not disallow any voucher for no apparent reason, unless it has really exceeded the maximum time limit.
The service interval/schedule is based on the reading of the odometer OR the duration /time span from the registration date of the car.
So, for second service, it is due at 10,000 Km or 6 months, but you have a maximum buffer period until just BEFORE 12,000 km or 7 months from the registration date of your car. It is NOT from the LAST servicing date or last odometer reading at last service.
Example
First service due at 1000 km or 1 month
But let's say you service only at 1800 km or 1.5 month
Your 2nd service is STILL due at 10,000 km or 6 months and NOT
11800 or 7.5 months.
Your maximum buffer is therefore until 12,000 Km or 7 months and NOT 13800 Km or 8.5 months.
It is because of this confusion, that owners sometimes send their cars late for service.
The free 3X labour charge, is actually given free by KIA Service HQ, and not by the servicing outlet. THe service outlet need to claim the cost of the labour charge from Kia HQ with the voucher, but once it is invalid/expired (servicing past the buffer period/mileage), such claim will also not be entertained by HQ.
