I drove the Civic for only a very short time, but I found the Cerato to be more comfortable to drive and smoother.

In terms of driving practicality, I'd eer towards the Cerato because of the paddle shifters. That is a very handle feature when driving and I use it very often.

In terms of noise, I feel the Cerato is quieter and it's even quieter now since I installed additional rubber seals on all the door frames and boot.

Hi, My Kia Cerato 1.6 now below 2k KM, sometime 12L/100 some got 9+L/100, driving not over 3000RPM, but RM100 just can go 350KM-430KM, (100% in city)
is this normal ??

Hi , just need to know, the meter L/100km, if just start the engine and stay (mean stop the car no run), the meter show  8L/100km , after min the meter will up to 9 to 10L/100km , if continue stay (mean engine still start and just stay) will up to 20-50L/100km, but my car just stay no run.
So is your car is same ??

Hi, your 1 is ok, my 1 just start engine with P (mean free gear) the L/100KM is can go 50L/100KM,
But once start run the car , will drop to 9-15L/100KM.

Another update to my issue. The technician called me back and told me issue no,1 we will monitor for 1 week and he will arrange for us to inspect it together at a SC.

Issue no.2, loss of engine power, he has escalated to his colleagues.

Good to know that they are genuinely interested in trying to find the problem.

Hi , just install K&N Replacement Air Filter, feel so good, normally KIA Cerato 1.6 is not so powerful, if need more power must press RPM to 3-4000, now 2500 already feel like 3-4000, now i fill full tank already run 159KM, the fuel meter still stay full level, will test fuel save or less.

Actually it could be very well the other way around. Some dedicated SC that are not dealers actually provide much better service and are more attentive and understanding compared to some of those dealer SC. But this is subjective and some may say otherwise. It boils down to the nature of the complaint.

Fundamentally it goes down to how good the staff are at the SC, regardless if they are a dealer or a kia SC. I've had really good experience at a dedicated small time authorized SC that is not attached to a dealer that solved all my problems that dealer SC and Kia SC didn't bother to look at and just pushed me around..

Just got my Cerato 2.0, and for some reason i'm unable to stream bluetooth audio through the HU.

any thoughts? Works fine through aux.

I just got my KX yesterday and tried the same thing. but the SA told me we can't stream bluetooth audio thru the HU. Only thru aux  

Hi guys, finally after much consideration and comparison few months back, me and wife pulled the trigger and bought a Kia Cerato K3 1.6 - Golden Beat which we just collected yesterday.

First of all, I would like to thank my SA, the trusted Mr Buydirect @ Mr. KS Loh for the pleasant buying process. From booking to actual delivery day, Mr Loh has been a very helpful chap. He answered all my enquiries and thoroughly explained everything that I should know. I must say he is the best SA i've met so far and it seem he gave the best offer too. I've been to few Kia outlets - PJ Red Cube,City Ruby Sunway,Red Cube Rawang,TTDI,Kota Damansara, all of them couldn't beat what Mr Loh offer (from my POV) in term of his service entertaining customers enquiry and also the attractive package on the car. All other outlets seem to give too little discount and very few free gft (only fulltank & umbrella). Definitely I'll be looking for him if I want to purchase another Kia and would highly recommend Mr Loh to anyone who want to buy Kia vehicle.

And for the car, I must say that it had almost everything I wanted in a car. Previously I drove a Mercedes S280(W140) for more than 5 years thus I'm already too attached to the comfort level it offered. Surprisingly though the Cerato does not fall back that much, and all the gadgets in the car instantly make me forgot about the S280. The only thing that I miss in the S-Class is the soft closing door 
Overall I'm a happy customer, hopefully the car will last until I finish paying the loan
