Me and my wife works with a local bank. The bank gives 2.5% interest on daily rest and tenure max 10 years for own staff vehicle loan. Thas why the huge different with normal rate for customer.since I used the loan to buy a korean superbike ( naza blade) already, thats why have to use my wife to loan out this superb korean sedan wink.gif

In my office its a trend already nowadays. Managers bought Sonata or Optima. They start to shift away from all those BMW and Merc or Japans D segment. Of course Director or GM above still have to use Continental since its compulsory to protect the bank reputation. But for normal managers, they really like Koreans cars. Guess K PoP do have the impact on old people also hahaha

For the discount or freebies I cannot disclose here or let people know since my loans works out differently than normal customer coz i work with the bank.
But what make me push my wife to buy from Kia Serdang is their customer service is good, and i saw an old naza citra still come servicing there. My wife is really fussy car owner and I know she wont ever service outside Kia SC till she finish her 10 years loan hahaha.

Cant wait to take the car next week and show it off to all officemate. Usually a new car among officemate must bring them to lunch. So far i will be the second Cerato in d office. But after me sure a lot will follow coz no brainer pay same monthly payment for a small B segment Japanese when can buy this a bigger C segment sexy superb Cerato. Come bonus month this August hope they'll be filling up the loan form for Cerato haha

Hopefully Kia Serdang can gives me introducer fee tongue.gif

We can see the trend slowly, more and more Korean cars on the road since Forte generation. Sadly there are still a lot of people with old perception and does not want to accept kimchi. smile.gif

I just want to ask what is the difference between authorised dealer and real KIA malaysia branch?
Does Kia Malaysia branch offer better discount? And where the heck is Kia malaysia, there at PC federal highway ka?
*
Just to clarify your particular question above. Naza Kia Malaysia is the sole franchise holder of Kia marque in Malaysia. Their sales and service operations are divided into two arms. One is Naza Kia fully own branches, which bear the name of Naza Kia such as outlets in Puchong, Glenmarie, Bangsar, Red Cube etc. Beside the branches, Naza also appoint authorised dealers throughout the country which are entirely different entities and run independantly but adopt the same concepts and policies as Naza Kia.

yesterday was my second time highway drive.
first time drove highway was just finished the first service and want to see how good fc can get at highway. from ipoh to KL fc is about 5.8-6L/110km.
yesterday all the way high speed, avg 140/150km/h, the fc still looking good at avg 6.8-7L/100km (u know lah, some driver just wont let you go and slow like turtle in front....) XD

for 1.6, power ofcos abit slow to pick up ater 120km/h compare to 2.0.
but overall, if you are a "follow law" driver, 1.6 is sufficient. who wants to speed at highway, then 2.0 would be your option.

just my 2cents. cheers.

Mind to know the fc based on your actual calculation instead of screen display?

Frank and short testimonial:

After 19 days of driving 1.6, it seems that actual calculations of fuel usage is much different from the average fuel displayed.

As I always recorded my each fuel up in Fuelly.com, the numbers for our K3 is not quite encouraging but maybe its too early for me to assume.
Hope to get more fuel usage details from other owners.

Yup agree with you. Basher of kimchi cars inside this forum are totally motivated by their own ulterior motives.
As for me i will totally respect whatever peoples decision. In a country where price of a car is the second highest in this world, every mileage rolled is a hard earned one haha. If Mazda 3 with 1.6 skyactive sold at this price, ya i oso will choose that over kimchi. Even in motorbike market, japan kawasaki really is shaking nowadays. They had to launch a new 250 cc single cylinder rm17k bike coz their market share taken away by bigger bolder best seller superbiker RM14999 Hyosung GTR @ naza blade korean bike.

In the End like Japanese Godzilla saying. SIZE DOES MATTER.
A 250 CC korean superbike with louder V-twin roar in front of traffic light will command a turn head from other fellow rider than the smaller frame enpensive 250 cc bikes with tiny puny exhaust sound of kawasaki ;p

A 1.6 C segment sedan with full specs accesories and full bodykit will command one whole village prying eyes and gossiping back at their owner hometown rather than normal japs tiny puny B segment. Back at my hometown even orang kampung after getting lump sump padi season money is hunting for second hand Forte available. Why? Simply the value of their hard earned money, for normal laymen, the bigger the better. So i realy dont understand all this ruckus muckus trolling of kimchis car by Japs die hard fanboys. Pliz be fair to everybody. Argument of resale value is invalid in many cases. Not everyone change car like change shirt. If after finish my loan and i can sold back for rm15k cash at kampung hahaha i have my big smile already. Just topup and get a new D segment superior Kimchis car if that is valid in 10 years time from now wink.gif

Thank you so much for your clarification.
Glad that I picked up d right shop from Kia malaysia website.

Yes. So far the best discount I was offered was from Ampang dealer, which was rm6k off with 3 years free service. But still looking around for a better deal because raya is coming soon.

It's a normal phenomenon to see improve fuel consumption after a month or so. This is more evident after the first service. Of course, FC depends on driving traits and road conditions, so it's never easy to drive any conclusions from the comparisons. Happy driving! Keep those feedbacks coming !

Guys just a heads up, check the place you park for oil spots, and if you got a chance, check your oil levels to ensure they are still full or above the mid point. Or better, look around with a torch light to see if there's oil sitting on any components.

I've had an oil leak going on for quite a while and just discovered it when I send the car to perform balancing and alignment. Lucky a sharp eye mech spotted it.

Guess for new cars, we also have to monitor the oil levels weekly. Hopefully this is an isolated case.

I was one of the die hard Japs brand too when I saw this post. I had tested the Cerato and was quite impressed with the performance, features and safety rating that many Japs brands are lacking. The Kia Cerato really stand out. rclxms.gif

Anyone has made comparison between K3 and Mazda3? Am contemplating between these 2 models. What are the specs available in Mazda3 but not found in K3, anybody knows? I find K3 is good value for money but not sure on its reliability compared to Japanese. Tough decision to make, would appreciate any thoughts and opinions.

The Mazda 3 and Kia K3 was shortlisted to my final 2, I personally preferred Mazda 3 due to it design, performance, handling and technologies. However, I drove a Cerato home eventually.

There are many reasons why I choose Cerato over K3, the most important reason is none other than the pricing. Mazda 3 does come with superb handling plus advanced technologies that you can't get from any of his competitor like SkyActive package, stop/start function and iEloop, you also got a FREE upgrade to leather seat which doesn't come with the car originally. What makes this good car became not competitive is Bermaz, with the price you paid you still have to adjust your seat manually, turn on the lights when it is dark, switch your rear view mirror to night mode when some Lala is driving behind you with their super bright HID, no reverse camera, single zone air-cond, no cruise control, no active display and etc.. and this cost you RM139K with only 3 years warranty. Just top up 2k and you can drive a Honda Accord home.

While for Cerato 2.0, most of the features are ready with no extra cost. No doubt that the handling is just so so but at least the car is comfortable. My wife preferred Cerato more than Mazda 3 because of it spacious cabin, rear air-cond vent, electric driver seat with memory function, dual zone air-cond and most importantly- the ventilated seat. All these fancy features only cost you RM 119k (of cuz you can get it cheaper) and the happiness from your family members is priceless.

In terms of reliability, I hope it is just as good as the Japanese. I have the same concern as you before I go for Korean car, but after much survey with Forte and Elantra owner I believe that the reliability of the Korean car has improved tremendously and those owner that I knew are very happy with their Korean wheel smile.gif Other than that the 5 years unlimited mileage warranty + 3 years free service also ceased my earlier concern. The 5 years warranty is fully covered by Naza Kia instead of those 2+3 warranty from the market.

The above is just my 2 cents advise, go test drive the car with your dearest 1 and go for the car that bring you more happiness smile.gif

Was really quite happy with my ride till now. Until it springs an oil leak at a young 6000 KM. Added with the Automatic tranny issue at 800 KM, i'm really hoping they really improved in terms of reliability.

Perhaps mine is a lemon, but I'm going to so push Naza over this issue.

This is very subjective. My friend owns the M3 and he thinks his car is sexy, I think my K3 is sexier. tongue.gif

Don't know why M3 reminds me of Lancer / Inspira, only the front.
