Wow. Is this for real? I thought they will cover 3 years free service and part and 5 years warranty for car. Rm100 per led is damn expensive!

Consumable not under warranty bro. It's the same for every car. Can source from outside, sure cheaper. smile.gif

QUOTE(budak minyak @ May 16 2014, 07:48 PM)
Anyway i just got back from test drive cerato and city. From my experience, Cerato was more comfortable car, NVH definitely better than new city, got fun gadgets to play with.

But the downside for cerato was the engine responsive. I think city's engine was more responsive, better pick up compared  to 1.6 cerato.

So now still can't decide which car to buy. More towards cerato, but resale value and the engine performance really scare me.

I saw your post in FB Kia Cerato Fan Club. brows.gif

For me I rather get the car that I feel most comfortable with. RV don't really bother me, as I plan to drive it for a long time. I'm more concern about maintenance cost down the road. tongue.gif

Replacing light bulb and led does not require wiring, it won't void the warranty. smile.gif

I'm not really sure about the maintenance cost for Cerato, but I can at least have 5 years peace of mind with the warranty. At least all the major components have warranty. Headache only 5 years later. laugh.gif

I owned a Kia picanto (the old model) and maintenance cost are ok.

I found a bug but not sure u all comes across this. The issue is like this:
Let say you going to shopping center alone and you only carry 1 key. After u done your shopping, u want to put your stuffs to trunk. U only open the trunk, the 4 doors stay closed. During moving your stuffs into trunk, your key slip out and drop into the trunk. You don't notice that. So, u just close the trunk. The trunk is successfully closed and it will have beep 3 times and that time u found all ur car door stay closed and even your trunk. At this time, I have no chance to access the car anymore.

The software should not like this. Expected: the trunk should open again after the beep. So, I can find back my key and get the access again. This only able to solve by having spare key to open back but we are not always bring the spare key together... how u think? Do you all have a workaround that i missed out?

I'm driving a 2.0, and compare with the 1.6 I test drive, The 1.6 give me better engine respond and the rpm rev feel lighter than the 2.0
but in reality, 2.0 is faster than the 1.6.
I think the reason You feel city have better pickup because Cerato is more Comfortable, so you wait feel the pickup!
Before cerato, I drive a manual fiesta.
That is the feeling I have when I switch to cerato.

So, does it means 1.6 will getting poorer performance if climbing hill? As you mentioned 2 adult in 2.0 is consider ok, then 1.6 with 5 adults sure die hard.
*
For sure, 2.0 feel better in term of performance.
But I dont think 1.6 will suffer hill climbing with 5 adult, only slower.
I drove avanza 1.3 to genting once with 6 adults, 2 kids and lots of luggage and I still reach there. Only take longer time...
Hehehe...

If your smart key is somewhat left inside the trunk, either by mistake or if it fell inside, when you close the trunk, the trunk will remain "unlocked". All you have to do, is to manually press the button on the trunk to open the lid.

In the Forte, the trunk lid used to bounce up when the key is inside, but for the Cerato, it doesn't bounce up, but only remain unlocked. Please try it out. Of course, don't do that with BOTH KEYS, as a precaution..... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Update on the "died" drl led. Went to Red Cube this morning. They submit a report to HQ and the new replacement unit will be free-of-charge despite no warranty for bulbs, considering newly puchased car (less than a month). Good service though.

CBU is fully imported and you will see PUSPAKOM logo at your windows (R&R of all imported cars require to go through PUSPAKOM checking before on the road), while CKD is local assemble. The latest Cerato will have 3 minor changes which are:

1.) Multimedia Din - from 4.3 inch to 7 inch (i think 8 inch need additional top up? Correct me if i'm wrong) equip with GPS.

2.) K3 logo at the back of the car (while you can always get this stick from any car accessories shops)

3.) Tyre changed to Continental

Most significantly, CBU signal indicator control is on driver's right side, while CKD will have it on the left side.

This all i can tell so far, anything wrong about it, please correct.
