For a GaGa, if talking about bottoming up then the only choice will be TAXI spring liao whistling.gif I carry hundreds of KGs of documents on Thursday going OFF ROAD at Dengkil/Banting/Jenjarom/Panglima site just like a 30tons truck sweat.gif
*
cannot also, i NEED lowered springs to have better center of gravity because saga/iswara chassis is just horse shit when it comes to cornering stability/body roll. (hopefully SOMEDAY people will fail to snap my car wheelie anymore lol)

so yea, basically drew the line and settled with the best of both worlds - progressive springs and short stroke sport absorbers biggrin.gif

Hifly tyre? never heard of it.... 205/55R15... nice! can fit 205 for our Saga?

how much per donut? maybe down south never see it....

is this a china tyre?
*
Ayam on 165/60R14 special donut for Shawie. For a ranjiao Goodyer will cost me RM180, even Cibaistones will cost RM160. In the end, I settled with Caina HiFly for RM125/pc. Have not experience with 205/55R15 cost it sure will sagat crazy on my GaGa. Surprisingly quiet tyre, so far great in wet traction. Dry... a little understeer compare to SimeAstar 100(could be the width though, previously I was with 185/60R14). However, funny part was despite having a smaller profile tyre, by right FC should improve, but I get the opposite. My Shawie FC has been drastically dropped from 6litre/100km up to current 7.3litre/100km doh.gif Ayam waiting opportunity to swap my back tyres out and get another pair of HiFly in to see the real deal. Wait for it.

On the other hand, HiFly tyre is NOT hard tread, so I will see how far can this tyre last before I start to recommend. Even if it's cheap, if the tread couldn't last more than 20k km, no point also. Might as well go back Cibaistone. Rather risk on wet traction or I can drive slower on wet roads.

If there's any progressive spring with higher tension coil at the bottom, whist have lower tension coil at the top. Yes you get all sort of wobble feeling on straight road. Ultra comfort ride without sagat. You'll also get extremely high G lateral cornering speed. However, bodyroll like mad at the initial stage of the cornering as the vehicle weight being compressed on the lower tension coils.

FYI, GaGa got more than 1 sagat issue. Few things you need to bear in mind, the brake caliper is extended out, whereas the brake hub is slotted inwards. So, choosing a correct negative offset rim is super important!!! However, most aftermarket rim with negative offset, the wheel edge is OFF mudguard, hence we sagat like crazy when going over uneven terrain. To remove sagat, either grind off your fender, sleeve it and put a bigger offset fender cover. OR, use lower profile tyres. OR, get a set of taxi spring to jack up the car icon_idea.gif If want lowering + soft + good cornering + comfort higher profile tyre without sagat.... you need to change car yawn.gif

means the hi-fly is quite a sticky tire also lo... macam my C drive 2.

So sticky that everytime I corner, it makes the poor goodyear at the rear screams. laugh.gif As a result of the stickiness, my FC also decrease a lil to around 10.8-11.2km/L compared to last time punya 11.5-12km/L.

but the downside is, it is so sticky that i can feel every surface of the road I am travelling on.

c drive 2 traction is good, grip so-so though.
by right you should be getting better FC since they boast low rolling resistance with their orange oil technology so it *may* be something else, or the good year (or whatever tires you had previously) had really poor grip AND traction which results in better rolling hence better FC.

then again, most enthusiasts would agree however that better traction is needed so the power transfer from engine > transmission > tires > road is maximized. the only thing is that these situations aren't very applicable in city start/stop or cruising situations sweat.gif

comfort/NVH wise, still the most comfortable tires i've been on although i havent tried neogen/Advan DB yet.

dunno whats the predecessor of C drive 2... laugh.gif

I thought C drive 2 is a spawn off from the regular C drive coz I saw lots of shops still have C drive and C drive 2. laugh.gif

ya lot the old c drive lo, that is correct.

c drive's are still being produced btw, some people prefer it for its harder compound/slightly better performance than c drive 2, although funnily, yokohama officially rates c drive 2 performance being better than c drive sweat.gif

marketing 101 mah...

new product must have BETTER stats than previous product. laugh.gif

Last time when I was still in Sony, when the new entry level LCD TV comes out replacing the current one in the market, the memo for the product gives promising features and spec but when the actual product came, the moment a video was plugged in, OMFG MAH EYESSSS.... >.<

My point is that for a grounding point to be effective, whatever paint around that part should be sanded off. Doesn't matter aftermarket or stock grounding point.

Hi guys, I need some voluntary help here on a simple DIY.
This morning I was fiddling around the engine bay and I found the original earth point on the car which is mounted to the gearbox mount. I open up the earth point and negative terminal. I saw that the earth point contact is not good because the mounting of the wart point is painted so took some sandpaper and sanded off a small area around the earth mounting point then I took a metal brush to brush the ring connector and clean the negative and positive terminals. Then I put back everything.

1st thing I notice after this is the throttle lag has reduced and my headlights still dim when the ac kicks in but just a short while only. Now I'm not sure what I did made the improvements could be placebo effect. So here I hope some members maybe could do the same ad I did and see if there is actually any improvement because I'm thinking if this simple DIY can work then add in the ular Oren by YAB then the effect will be more better.

It will be nice if a few can chip in and try this and see the result got or not

wan to install my vs, grouding and positive?
definitely reduce the throttle lag
test drive unit available...hehe smile.gif
