Well, what functions have you utilized?

I use the S-pen regularly
I use the camera regularly
Data for browsing daily
SMS/Whatsapp/Calls
ROM Flashing
Some light gaming and kids entertainment
Pairing with BT keyboard and mouse for kicks
Allshare cast when I get the mood to reflash stock

Anything else anyone uses?

not only that... we can probably expect a glut and also ALL (not just Samsung) smartphone prices to start dropping... i see that happening towards end of the year... can't wait to get a newly launched flagship below rm2k. maybe even rm1.6k?!?
*
hmm.gif 1.8 will still be extremely reasonable.

I recall most of the analyst estimates of BOM cost were around USD180-280 for most devices, so a price crash like what happened to the PC market may be feasible.

If china phone makers start promoting and exporting their phones more aggressively, then they will be alot of competition and prices can drop. China phones are getting better and better just need to improve on their after sales service.

Oh yeah, GPS/Waze

Well, I tried the barometer apps, but couldn't get a calibrated reading, and I'm not into weather forecasting tongue.gif so I uninstalled.

Compass, no use of it yet. I don't need to find North tongue.gif and only went into the jungle once last year.

But just feeling like note 2 is still capable of doing most of the things. Who can tell me that you truly has fully utilize the phone? hehe..

Well there is one thing lack of most of us wanted so far....LTE connection which note 2 doesnt have...frankly i don care much about the thing inside note 2 beside battery, connection and larger screen.....apparently i think note 3 abit far to larger on the screen...but we will see....sooner or later society going to accept them anyway even it so big that required 2 hand to hold a phone to their ears... brows.gif

No mention of storage size, and it seems no sdcard, and fixed battery.

I can live with fixed battery but need the sdcard. Not forgetting all the S-on S-off and locked bootloader nonsense. Same goes for Sony.

16gb built in with microsd slot, and 3200mah batt, at least that kind of batt size is good enough that a removable batt is not needed(at least for me la) at least we can see HTC really listening what the majority of customers want smile.gif

and us XDA fanatics are definitely not the majority tongue.gif

I'm pretty sure now the One Max won't come with a tiny 3000mah batt as rumored, so its up for consideration again. Will need to really go thru the functions I use a lot on the note 2 and compare it with what sense 5 offers, to make sure ill actually be upgrading and not downgrading in terms of features. SNOte is giving me headache now zzz. Might transfer to evernote and see how it goes since theres an import to evernote function.

I'm really hoping all of these new devices are pressuring samsung to try and do something about the outlook and feel of the phone, though its not super important for me, but it would be really awesome to have a note 3 with stereo speakers for netflix, prime and hulu.

Ever since I found out that S-note was platform locked, I stopped using it.
Using HandyNote, I found that the Evernote export is just a static image mad.gif
The dropbox integration is better in that it stores the native HNF file so is far more portable this way.

Well, I seriously find the HTC One Sense has some lacking stuff if you're coming from TW. I was completely surprised to read that they have no multiple toggle equivalent and some very basic functionality of settings access is missing from the H1 ROM. WTF.

And they have to wait for 4.2.2 to get that????

And their 4.2.2 update just got canned today it seems. So......

HTC also has very lame battery usage info : its graphical representation of battery use is horribly lousy ( worse of all the phones I have used) and you cannot even see screen on time. Need to install a 3rd party apps to know it

another thing, ultrapixel...I really need high megapixel count as I use the note 2 camera a lot ot take document pics, and I dont think the ultrapixel is gonna be good at that =/

Yeah, HTC doesn't seem to be too fond of toggles lol, love how samsung is giving us even more toggles with the 4.2 update(though I would love a flashlight one too)

Once, the official 4.2.2 drops for the One, hope there will be someone who does a thorough video about it.

Oh yeah, the weird capacitive buttons too doh.gif

Exactly. Its just company trying to make money by adding features that is not really required and consumers wanting the latest even if it is underutilized. Its economy and it makes the world go round.  laugh.gif
But seriously that was my observation woh.  unsure.gif
