its ugly (green, what? and i can't even change the theme easily, always boot to recovery, flash and wipe, then wait for "android apps updating" for like forever due to more than 200 apps, then boot, tadaaa... nothing happened)

its slow (changing the animation scale to 0.5x doesn't help. noticeably slower in animation compared to Sentinel. could be programmed to be this way)

its not flexible (changing anything at all needs flashing zomg)

The Note 2 by default has excellent battery life. I dont see the need to use any 3rd party battery savings apps such as DSBS, Greenify, ICS Battery saver, etc. Such apps will not increase your battery life , say by another 1 hour , perhaps only marginal increase. I cane easily get 7-8 hours SOT on 3G mainly ; with WiFi usage 8-9 hours is commonly achieved. In a normal working day, no one will be using their phone 6-8 hours continuously unless you use the phone to work
I have since on my seconds unit did not use any more custom kernels n custom roms - everything is stock. And I am very happy with it especially with the latest official firmware
Compared to Note 2, I am only hitting 6 hours+ SOT on my Mega 6.3 on similar usage

Easily? LOL. I really wondered how you guys do it. Despite my best efforts, I only manage to breach 7 hours even with power saver on and wifi only usage.

the secret is to

read e-books at night on airplane mode + lowest brightness + greenify everything + close all other running apps + dark background + max cpu to 1 core @ 200mhz and never go up

But what for to restrain yourself to get such battery life. I always have to keep brightness level at certain level during daytime, notification update must be always on (fb,twitter,whatsapp,wechat etc..).. perhaps if nvr play games or do extensive usage, can restrain to max 200mhz 

Hence, my average sot linger around 3 to 4 hours, thats why many of us cannot get 7 and more hours of SOT. No use to restrain to this extend whereby to achieve good SOT and u cannot get fully ultilize of "smartphone".

Non-TW ROMs still allow you to use the S-pen, you just don't get the S-Note and S-memo.

That is why I recommend you do not use S-Note to maintain independence from Samsung in case you get a non-Samsung device next time.

What with airview.  Its kinda slow and irritating for me. 

very useful for me, especially when editing with picsart because picsart is fully-optimized for the air view too.
