Hi guys, appreciate some recommendation.

Looking for a tablet:

1. Brand: Any, may prefer China brands due to their cheaper price.
2. Budget: Below RM 1000 if possible, the cheaper the better. tongue.gif
3. Specs: Nothing specific. Preferably large screen size so easy to type.
4. What you need in the tablet: Going to use it mainly for work, emails and communication. Needs 3G, for internet connection on the go. Oh, good battery life is a plus as well.

So far for my search, I've found some China-made models, called PIPO M7 Pro, and a larger one called PIPO M9 Pro. Any comments guys? Any better ones around the same prize?

Thanks all.

Not so sure the Nexus 7 32GB WiFi(@RM999) only still available at Newegg MY or not, their FB mentioned their business in MY is down untill further notice. Is hard to beat Nexus 7 price and spec. Samsung tablet normally come with high price tag.

Thanks for the reply. rclxms.gif The Nexus 7 is definitely very attractive, price cheap and can consider branded as well. Only downside is the screen size only 7 inches. Just a bit on the smaller side when it comes to tablet. A pity Nexus 10 don't have 3G. sad.gif

Do you have any experience with China tablets like PIPO, bro? I've noticed they have a few tablets with 3G around RM 8xx-9xx that has 9 inches or 10 inches screen. Only worry is the quality of those China tablets. Do you think it is better to go with the more guaranteed quality of Nexus 7 cellular but smaller screen size, or is it better to go with those China tablets with bigger screen size? hmm.gif

Thanks. notworthy.gif

I have tried a few chinese tablets, with mixed feelings.

If you can DIY and dont care about warranty, then china tablets should be fine for you. If not, better stick to well known brands than Chinese brands with dubious warranty and even worse build quality..

Maybe it is better to up my budget a bit, and go for a known brand. Did some snooping around in garage sales, saw a seller selling the older generation Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 inch at Rm1099. Not sure if have stock, but if around that price maybe can consider. I'll have a look around. Anyway, thanks for the advise bro. notworthy.gif

Bro, ericmaxman, what do you think between

ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 (ME173X) VS. ASUS MeMO Pad 8 (ME180A)
Thought of getting another cheap Android devices just for the usage of writing/drawing as primary usage.

Or do you have other alternate option of even cheaper than above option? hmm.gif

Well, considering that the HP Slate 7 Extreme and Dell Venue 8 isnt appearing locally as yet, the Memo Pad 8 is a darn good choice.

Go ALL IT and test it out. I've tested side by side with the HD7 and it does feel bigger, but not to the extend of too big la sweat.gif

Also, can expect better performance from the Memo Pad 8 than the HD7 as its powered by a Rockchip RK3188 brows.gif

Hi, would like to ask a few ques abt android tablets, specifically the Vido N70S.

I'm looking for a cheap but reliable tablet <rm300 just for my lil' son. Mainly for education apps/games and perhaps sometimes for the wife to surf the web or youtube.

Has anyone tried this particular model before? I almost bought a tablet, forgotten the brand/model, but I came through here and read on the 1st page something abt avoiding tablets with certain cpu chips and and go for rockchip instead.

Thinking abt buying this as I don't want to fork out a large sum just for the sake for my boy's entertainment ehehhe

Hello guys, could u help me out a little bit?

* 8" G+G IPS 1024x768px 5 point touch Capacitive Screen
* Mali 400 MP4 533Mhz
* 2GB RAM / 16GB Nand Flash
* Dual Camera 0.3MP+2.0MP
* HDMI/WIFI/OTG/External 3G Dongle

GPU ULP GeForce
Card slot microSD, up to 64 GB

i vote or recommended 8 inch android.

i`m currently using Asus Memopad 8

its been 2 weeks usage, never fail to use it daily.

mostly using it play Candy crunch and injustice.

beside, most of the time, i use it to download comic and read. and the size of 8 inch is perfect on hand, same size as u holding ur comic book.

as well as the books u going to read, its same size. not much needed to zoom in or out.

although the processor is not the powerful one, but is more than enuf.
however the 1gb of ram and the 8gb internal memory i got is not the best choice, sometimes they might be some 1-2 second hiccup, but still bearable. the 8gb internal will end up left 4.xx gb to be use.
but external MicroSD is a plus to support up to 64GB.

i got my weekly Running Man on which 1080p, running on MX Player with software decode running no problem. even RMVB & MKV running smoothly.

last but not least, the IPS panel is the best on this tablet.
