I'm looking for a 8" tablet from samsung between galaxy tab 3 8" and note 2 8" . Which one is better? I have a acer a500 currently and ipad but finding that android gives more flexibility. my acer sadly got no 3g. so can't use it to go online outside. my purpose is mainly for surfing, reading online materials, ebooks and utilize to take notes and some light games. battery lasting is important at least for a day. other brands recommendation are welcome. tq

Hi to all sifu, my friend is looking for a tablet that under rm800, prefer 10" screen, what's available in that range?

Just wondering can a universal stylus pen work on any Android tablet? say mainstream hot items like N7, N10, Fonepad, Memopad etc.

Anyone have great suggestion?

1. Brand. Mainstream brand? - Something straight forward to root, custom roms availability is a plus.

2. Budget. - If possible below RM900 new or 2nd hand with atleast 3 months warranty.

3. Specs.
- Enough RAM and processing power to perform (4)
- Need Data instead of WiFi only
- Can set up WiFi tether
- Prefer atleast 8" screen but willing to take 7" if out of budget

4. What you need in the tablet
- For smooth usage productivity intensive apps and multitasking instead of gaming.
- as a productivity tool at work as well as entertainment(minus gaming).
- to avoid needing to use home desktop PC for normal surfing and web-browsing to save that little bit of energy consumption
- plan to get a stylus pen for it (be it universal or samsung's)

Yup, < RM300. 7" is sufficient, easy for kids to bring along.

In the market for a 10 inch android tablet for my mum. What's the best tablet out of the box? Need wifi only, it's for my mum, so no tinkering (root + flash). Currently have my eye on the Samsung tab 3, are there any other tablets that are better this?

and the child not my...is my brother daughter...
the learning material (like english/math/etc) which can help improve her study.
