So its almost the same as the rest of the cards already
*
other cards, e.g. petronas mesra, is 1 liter = 1 pt

petron miles s 1 liter = 2 pts

still ok a bit. now ron95 is rm2.20 per liter = 2 pts.

if petrol drop below rm2 per liter, then we gain a bit.

Yeah that was in my thought as well.
Anyway the points a little devalued.
Hope for MOGAS95 and RM currency is favorable for us so that our pertol/liter can be lower than RM2.00

No devaluation at all. If you have 10000 points right now, they are still worth the same. It's just that a bit harder to earn, so it will take you longer to get X number of points than before. That's not devaluation.

Yeah the correct term is not devaluation but the main point as you mentioned it take longer time and resource to redeem.
What's the term for it?

Economically what has increased is the price of the points, not their value (value is the same, you can buy the same after change as before change, just earning is harder).

So the points have become more expensive.

With the latest rewards point revision, the Petron card rebate percentage has dropped to 1.3% compare to 1.5% @ RM1=1 point previously.

Calculation is based on today fuel price of RM2.31/ltr

I'm not sure when did Petron changed to their rewards scheme... it is no longer rm1 to 1 point, but 2 points per litre...

Just noticed it this morning when I claim my rewards points..

It was still RM 1 = 1 point, when I pumped petrol on 13 October 2017. Yeah, the point collection might have changed around the last 2 weeks of October 2017.

Last time when it was still RM 1 = 1 point, the amount of petrol I purchased will have ending value of RM 0.05 (such as RM 63.75), so that I would have gained 63.80 Petron Miles Points in this example. Yes, it is an insignificant rounding-up.

Nowadays, when it is now 1 litre = 2 points, is the tiny rounding-up of Petron Miles Points still applicable?

I notice nowadays since using litres, it's rounding to 0.0X. So the rounding is really reallly insignificant.

Based on my recent fuel up, yeap they still round up for you, but as you said... it's pretty insignificant... thank god they did not adjust the points required to claim...

Nevertheless, it's still better then other petrol stations that offers 1L = 1 point... with even worst points conversion...
