This type of project will always go on no matter which side controls fed govt. They can't afford to upset the ppl by cancelling it. The only thing they can achieve is to deliver the project but brag about the cost savings.

Lowering cost doesn't mean lower safety. Logically they cut down on profit, maybe appearance and size of the station etc, but that's fine if it is still functional. Spend money where is necessary and I trust safety is core and not being compromised.

Unless u have the details that show otherwise, else it's not appropriate to simply accuse the current govt don't care about safety and quality.
