QUOTE(FluffyTee @ Aug 5 2019, 12:20 AM) hmm a GTX 1060 6gb is like the entry level gc for VR. its still usable in all games. but may have limitation with games released next year. Obviously buying anything better than this punches a bigger hole in ur wallet. I guess it comes down if u can get a good price for which ever GC. bought a new gtx1660 because can't find a reasonable priced new gtx1060, too close to new gtx1660. gtx1660 ti is out of budget. still OTW, though.

QUOTE(wonderbar99 @ Jul 18 2019, 09:27 AM) Ya, I am tempted , but it's from overseas so I am skeptical abit. Scared DOA device...I always bad luck when ordering electronic stuff online. DOA monitor, motherboard, ram, and GPU before...need send warranty the next day Any of you bought it? it's at USD299 again, roughly around USD350 plus shipping & taxes, ~RM1500 very very tempted to click checkout cart now

Vive Cosmos open for preorder tomorrow onwards, convenient inside-out tracking tracking with 6 cameras. Price more expensive than the original Vive. Cheaper than Vive Pro discounted price.

First set came with dead/burn pixel. Amazon sent a new one while i could still play the old one. And when new one arrives, i have to send in the old one back via dhl. Amazon then refunds me ALL the shipping fees (delivery and return) so i only paid for the Product only. But thats my experience. I do noticeit varies between customer service agents

Managed to find an alternate way by setting my laptop DDI to TBT. Able to find a USB Type C to DP(F) adapter. Tested my Cosmos with GunJack, one of my favorite mindless space wave shooting game. The tracking works perfectly for me. Also tested with Beat Saber. The new controller can be track accurately with no problem at all. The only minor grip I have now is game compatibility due to major changes with the new Oculus Touch like controller. Hope the dev. able to push out an upgrade to resolve the control problem.

How good is the Cosmos? I kinda want to get an Oculus Quest, mostly for it's portability. I really do like using the vr hmd more when there is no wires attached to it. Feels free man lol. But i'm gonna be missing a lot of PC Steam VR games till next month when Quest works on PC. Biggest complain about Quest for me is that the comfort level is pretty bad. Face is hard pressed with the hmd, and doesn't look like I can game for extended hours.
Just have some extra cash so might just jump early. Valve Index currently the best right high end wise, but damn using sensors still, that's a huge hassle for me

QUOTE(ttsiang02 @ Oct 13 2019, 12:22 AM) Therefore, do u think riff s is a good choice? I think it will depend on how Quest will do when it works on PC. If Quest works on PC just like Rift S does, that means Quest would be better because yeah you can use it with or without PC. While Rift S is tied to PC only. Plus most of the features that is coming to Quest seems a lot better overall, like...hands free VR where you don't need the controllers anymore and etc. One of the features, over other features. I'm still in the wait and see camp. Seems best to wait for Sony's PSVR 2 on the PS5 first before getting one.
