it has a very harsh bandung/rose and anise in baby powder opening, before it tapers down to a sweet, soft, dark, gorgeous concoction of vanilla, balsams, iris and resins. Habit Rouge is lighter and brighter compared to Shalimar, who is dense and intense, like a mysterious woman who seduces and enthralls with her sense of mystery.

spritz them on my cardigan and skin today at work place, i wonder how other ppl see this stuff though, cause i smelled it after once in a while, really crazy undertones like deep mysterious ink smell, I will gladly shake hands with anyone who appreciate this kind of obscure scent. I purchased encre noire when my DHI left 10 percent in the bottle, I guess gotta make another purchase next month for something more vibrant, as i can't see myself wearing this everyday unlike my DHI , which had served me last 6 month.

My self categorized Encre Noir as office environment type of scent becoz of the huge woody scent factor. Its just not kind of scent that project casual and friendliness that I would wear after office hour or party. Its written dominance all over the scent. Just my two cent.

The ad was found on the shoppingnsales website, which is generally pretty legit.


But SnS said the organizers apparently haven't revealed themselves, so can't tell for sure whether fake or not.

i agree, i think first impressions, like not suitable for first date or interview, ppl won't get why you smell so overbearingly dark.
