2014 has been an exciting year for me as my taste has evolved into more challenging animalic/classic floriental and chypre. Thanks to the support of my fellow fragheads, my collection is still kept at manageable level. I wish you all a blessed new year ahead! My heartfelt condolences goes to victims and families of QZ8501 and flood in East Coast of West Malaysia. Hopefully 2015 will bring us good lucks and health.

Happy new year to you bro. biggrin.gif This year not really a good year to be remembered in our nation's history.

However i need to congratulate and respect you... venture into the realm of the gurus where animalic and classic vintage are still no no to my nose....

Hope to see more of your sharing next year and god bless

Haha retries several Le Labo samples that i gotten from Bro Izam sometime back in 2014 hehe... i bet he is still in his heaven honeymoon tongue.gif

Overall i feel Le Labo is neither outstanding nor lacklustre, its fame success partly due to the gimmicky bottle in front of you when u wanna buy it.

Iris 39 - Purple rooty powdery musk and i can get the lime, ginger supporting it. It is cold, rooty, waxy like of iris. Nicely done, however for cold / powdery iris i would still go for either Chanel N19 Poudre or FM Iris Poudre

Vetyver 46 - To me this is just dark, incensy vetiver.... the ideal encre noire and i like it more than sycomore. but this fella reminds me of Comme des Garcons 2 Man.

Bergamotte 22 - Neroli Portofino smile.gif one of the better longevity bergamot/neroli you can get in the market. much wallet friendly compare to TF

Rose 31 - Im biased with this one. i love this sh!t and will replace my Cartier Declaration with this once i ran out of Cartier. The rose is everywhere from the top to drydown.. and much easier to detect compare to MFK Lumiere Noire PH. This and MFK, you wont go wrong... totally signature worthy

going forward i will be sharing lots of perfume quick takes when i feel lazy to do a full review...

so for today will be doing this one from Prada - King of Soapy Scent, their Luna Rossa.

When it came out i did not bother to give it a sniff as the bottle look so un-luxury, in fact cheapie... Came across internet where ppl linked the extreme as cheaper alternative of Tobacco Vanille, hence during lunch i went to Sephora near my office look see look see however they do not have the extreme, just the normal.

watever so i did one spray on my back right hand the luna rossa, man it is nice minty orangy lavender. Clean, soapy (very less compare to Prada Amber). The lavender here surely is very high quality lavender absolute, has the vibe of Czech and Speake Oxford and Cambridge but the diff is the mint in prada more cooling and the base is hold together by ambroxan (synthetic amber) which overall very nice modern fougere. longevity 7hrs and nice sillage, average on the projection.

IMO one of the best lavenders in the market not including niche. Wanna try lavender but dunno where to start, look here

Can't really remember bro since I've 30+ bottles
in my collection plus 200+ samples which i rotate wearing
them everyday.

But if i'm not mistaken I wore PAPH since
I need a fresh/elegant/clean scent due
to the hot weather and bulky malay wedding attire smile.gif
