They have the brochure there, but the sales person said the stocks will be coming in either next week or mid-May sad.gif

just bought AP set tired of waiting from SenQ..call them just now they also not sure about the arrival so i decided to buy from DirectTd which cost me extra 200 anyway im so satisfied with the phone...Great phone and great camera...LOVE the zoe and the speaker.. biggrin.gif but if u use the phone for 15 minutes it will get extremely warm...

From a source said is was because of the sudden for today's public holiday in Selangor.

Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday will have some good news.

HTC Malaysia really has some incompetent staff. They need to fire whoever is in charge of marketing here and hire someone new and fresh.

No use posting no their facebook page, they don't reply. No clear indication on when their products are going to be on sale, not even a notice to customers about delays. It could come tomorrow, the day after, or next month, BUT NO ONE KNOWS!

Oh, and can I add, the staff in the HTC store in Sunway Pyramid are utter wankers - bad attitude, lazy and incompetent

I'm honestly a little disappointed with HTC with this HO. It was their comeback for this year, to go against the biggies like Samsung, Sony etc etc and a chance to give a good name to HTC.

But guess they failed on this part.

But to note, we were kind of given a small window for release date in Malaysia, thats around early to mid may.. So still awaiting some good news from my fellow forumers here and from SENH/Q.

Am a hardcore Samsung Users so there's a little questions for HTC users (considering to jumpship)

1. Does HTC One allow users to download latest firmware and install on the phone immediately like Samsung?

2. I'm a gamer, but I don't do anything like rooting or flashing. Too lazy to read and learn. And I have a tablet too so basically maybe a little gaming + most of the time will be incoming/ outgoing calls/ whassap/ browsers/ camera and alarm. That'll be my main usage as I've another tablet that I use to game tongue.gif

I'm also the type of person who doesn't like troublesome gadgets as in -bad review with bad CS service centre or warranty took long procedures and periods. I see that the S4 have camera problems. So manatau, I'm that lucky then jialat liao!

Would appreciate a lot for those who can advise based on my question. Thank you!

Can't really blame the ones in FB tho. There might only be one person in charge of that, maybe many, we won't know. But let's imagine if its one person only.. 1. Yes, that would be OTA(over the air) support, and all major manufacturers have that. The time for the latest firmware to be pushed to your phone varies from manufacturer to manufacturer though

2. Both phones use the latest snapdragon 600 core - both can probably handle any game out there today easily

My 2 cents - HTC One is the better phone in my opinion. Slightly better screen, reportedly faster and smoother, better build quality, and just beautiful. Samsung probably has the better after sales service though from what I've seen, cant really comment about that though, i'm lucky enough to have never had to deal with any form of after sales service before.

Pardon my abruptness. A bit frustrating today. Sorry if i sounded pissed.

Basically, HTC isnt known to be the fastest when it comes to updates. Samsung would be faster.

If it were up to me, customer experience should always come first. Look at samsung stores now, so many display units available for testing. If no one can try the phone, who will buy it? Only those who do their research thoroughly and know how good the phone is.

If i am not mistaken, they FB part is handle by agency + HTC. From my experience from marketing agency, organization like HTC will have their marketing department to handle social media marketing.. and they will be a dedicated person from there to handle tweets/fb post and website. So all in all, they just choose to ignore.

It is compatible.. maxis is selling Lumia 900 and XL as part of their 4G device together with iP5..

As long as the device support 1800/2600 spectrum.. it is supported.

Maxis LTE works on the one cos the version being distributed here supports the 2600 MHz band. They've retrofitted their 1800MHz band so it works on iPhone 5 users as well.

Normally a lower MHz band equates to stronger signal strength and better wall-penetration strength.

Shouldn't be that much difference, since unless you're in the middle of KL, there's rarely many high rise office buildings to block your signal tongue.gif

Even then, lots of office towers and shopping malls have their own antennas to provide coverage. Mid Valley underground parking has better signal than ground floor of my house lol, which is only 5km away.

black 32gb and silver 64gb just launched last weekend in Taiwan only, and they are still short of stock for all range of the model. mid of may till end of may shall be expected here in Malaysia

Called my friend at senQ. He said still no news from the warehouse where they distribute stocks sad.gif

But the amount of pre-orders have increased quite rapidly. Previously I was the only customer who pre-ordered for the last 2 weeks. But from last Friday, there are now 6 pre-orders including mine.

TBH it looks like silver is coming sometime around there. I doubt the black would be around that time as well. Hopefully I'm wrong

i was thinking if the refuse to give me back the deposit, i will use it to buy something else.
and since it is their fault, salesman told me end of april delivery, then 6th may and till today no news, i thk they will allow me to get back my deposit or use the deposit to buy something else.

DirectD has said the ETA will be 15-16 May.. and they might be selling at RM2199 as they have enough stock.. this is like WTF man.. we're paying full price RM2299 and yet there are very high chances we are getting it 15-16 May... WTF man

from my previous experience with senq, you can check any defect on the spot, get change if you are not satisfy with the unit. i think this is advantage over directd

huh.. u sure? i read post just now there is only 6 in the queue for pre-order. Get the contact from senheng/senq website and call to check for stock availability. call other outlet until you locate one.

I know man. I have no choice.. but im using a Banglasia phone now cos i sold off my iPhone 5 in anticipation of this One phone. Cos im travelling, and i need a decent phone, so i will have to bite the bullet and go buy one AP tomorrow.

Waiting for DiGi. Well you know iPhone got enough stock also they can run out of stock when it was launched last time. Have to try your luck everyday to queue for the phone as there's limited quantity per day. Just hope this doesn't happen to HTC One.

Ok this is the latest news i got. Stocks are being delivered today. Please start bugging SENQ tomorrow!

From a logistics standpoint, they either will be able to sell it tomorrow or the next day as they still need to do inventory and bar coding procedures.

That's what I thought too but... estimated arrival of stocks means they can't even give a clear deadline which gives an indication that they do not have concrete evidence and confirmation as to when stocks would arrive.

i also think that is just a date for more stock coming after the first batch... at first, HTC also says beginning of may for first batch for Digi and Senq, then follow by other in mid of may..perhaps this is just a 2nd batch stock? but that date is put on quite some times before.. now keep on delay..might not be accurate anymore also...

Aren't those quite pricey? I'd stick with manually switching on and off whatever I need. Plus I wouldn't have to waste battery on switching on the NFC. But that's just me smile.gif

Not really. Less than RM10 per tag. Some more got 30% off for LYN members. Quite cool. Can stick it on your wall of your office/home to automatically switch profiles.

With Android widgets, it's much faster to change settings on the phone itself rather than using the NFC tags. Unless the NFC tags can start to clone our Touch-N-Go cards, it's pretty gimmicky at best now. Thanks, but no thanks.

The reason is apparently digi, senheng and senq were quite good distributors for HTC last year, in the sense that they promoted it quite a lot. So HTC is repaying their loyalty with stocks first. That's what I've heard.

I have a feeling this may not be accurate. Cos GDEx is based on PJ. Monday was a public holiday. And KLIA warehouse was also closed on Monday. Its more plausible that the delivery was done yesterday morning instead.

Ok heres the word from my informer. Stocks have confirmed reached SenQ/DiGi already.

Now the question is what the hell is the warehouse and logistics going to do about it? Delay until next week and lose business?

FYI, HTC is also quite pissed with this. They've suggested that we make complains on the HTC FB site, and keep pressuring them for a solution.
Cos HTC cannot do anything to Sen Q if no one complains on their page.

The idea is to pressure HTC on the FB page so that they can escalate this issue to management and show them the response from customers.

Pls collective start blasting the HTC FB page.

Btw.. i got my set from DigitalD this afternoon as i simply could not wait anymore.

The gist of the quality is, fairly good, but some small, minor gaps.
No dead pixels, or other issues. I went to choose from 3 different sets. I took the one with the least gaps.

HTC shouldn't boast zero gap than no such issues
All the demo sets I seen in spore during my purchase ALL have gaps of varying degree. Yet to see one perfect phone. Even the 2 sets I bought has very slight gaps but I deem acceptable.

HTC Malaysia is killing themselves in this fight against Samsung again with all these delays -.-.

If KL stocks also delay, which means Sarawak here will be worse? sad.gif And I thought I can get mine this Sunday cry.gif

made my effort to call another 2 senQ in mainland..same result..next week
made a call to few DIGI shop...also next week
made a call to PhoneStar...the GOLDEN child of Brighstar in Penang..they said next week

normally in Penang..nobody can get ealier than Phonestar

I called SenQ (Jusco Tebrau, Johor Bahru). They said the stocks have not arrived yet, and when I asked when the stock will arrive, I think they simply said in 2-week time.

directd shop is nice. i bought there. they allow me to go around and play with the phone. u can check.
but the drawback of this shop, theres a lot of customer. very packed like sardine tin. im scared pickpocket coz i bring cash money shakehead.gif

Thank you! Ya can check on the spot. The guy dunno his name, pretty friendly to let me see and even switch on the fone. I think the gap is nothing to worry, at least to me.

Like what Uncle Benny says, if HTC didnt announce there is a gap, we do not even notice it. So dont get too concern on the gap. No big deal actually.

Just called them. Seems to be out of stock, and they said those collected are pre-order.

But from what iDesmond said earlier, all SenHeng and SenQ branches should be getting their stocks tomorrow already.
