Normally a lower MHz band equates to stronger signal strength and better wall-penetration strength.

With Android widgets, it's much faster to change settings on the phone itself rather than using the NFC tags. Unless the NFC tags can start to clone our Touch-N-Go cards, it's pretty gimmicky at best now. Thanks, but no thanks.

Just called them. Seems to be out of stock, and they said those collected are pre-order.

But from what iDesmond said earlier, all SenHeng and SenQ branches should be getting their stocks tomorrow already.

Does gap pose any serious problem for the phone? I mean like will dust get into the phone's screen / internal parts or something?

most places even got stock now, would have already been sold out. got to be quick. best chance now is Senheng, etc. and due to super high demand and low supply now (just speculating), some retailers might even mark up authorized sets to be higher priced.

I can confirm on this too. When I called Senheng Kepong yesterday, they had received 5 units yesterday (all sold out within hours), and received another 5 units yesterday night (about 9pm) whereby the person reserved for me. With such crazy demand, probably all sold out by now perhaps.

Blame the branch manager of senq 1U to underestimate the demand perhaps.

Well, if the gaps are not going to cause any issue with you using the phone, why be so picky about it? I know everyone wants a perfect phone, but sometimes we just have to give in. I know many would rather gap huge gapped phones than not getting any phone at all.

Most likely HTC skimped on their QC division and they also wanted to speed up production of the phones, hence such problems. Oh well, I would rather they do this than to slow down production by having excellent QC, but we end up getting the phone months later. LOL

After checking in Google, seems that all the gapped units aren't really that huge. So the chances are good for you. LOL Anyhow just ask Senheng to refund you if they can't give you a good unit.

Yes, they should allocate all their stocks to pre-orders first as priority. After all, they already got the deposits and some even paid in full in advance.

I really really wanted the black one too. But since only silver was available, I grabbed it and to be honest, I am actually happy that I took the silver instead. It looks really striking on any desk.

Poor stock management is what they have. But still, other phones like S4 are abundant in stock, so it was never a need to allocate stock based on pre-orders even for most cases. The HTC One is one of the few exceptions.

People's expectation too HIGH due to the term Ultrapixel.
So they expect the HTC One camera to perform like DSLR.

For me, so far tested the HTC One camera. Seems very good. There's even Exposure/Contrast/Saturation/Sharpness which we can set in the camera settings. HTC Zoe is actually fun and useful. Also love the audio feedback when it is touch-focusing!

Really feel pity and sad for those that pre-order and have not even got it now, I think they should deserve additional free gifts once they get their HTC One.

Senheng Kepong had ready stock yesterday. One of the forumers told me he got his in the evening yesterday from that branch. No need plan, just purchase outright.

Agree with your statement. If this wasn't the case, Senheng would already allocate stocks to their pre-orders first before giving stocks to Senheng Kepong meant for outright purchases.

Nice! But the car charger... haven't heard of that brand. I would use only trusted branded car chargers with HTC One since the battery is built-in and cannot be changed if damaged.

Thanks bro. Yeah, definitely telcos can trust but actually globally HTC also having problems with supply due to camera module shortage. Even my unit was only manufactured about 1 week before I got it. So logistics wise, there is no delay, but just on their manufacturing side.

Try NOT to 1-to-1 exchange if possible. HTC One has a LOT of build quality issues. Many units have screen problems, speaker problems, gap problems, etc. Some people have did 1-to-1 exchange and regretted because the replacement unit has more problems. LOL. Here is not like other countries where you can exchange more than 5 times without issue. In Malaysia, you are probably given like 1-2 chances of exchange and that's it.
